Quinton Powell

Powell can play ball; he will need to gain some weight but that is no big deal. He may need a year of two but that is not a problem.

rumors it was down to us USC and the Gates. Gates and SC said no offer anymore, so curious as to what he will do.

he committed to uf early then decommitted and was thought to be going to usc. south carolina was recruiting him at one time too then pulled his offer, shortly after uf pulled theirs and now usc has told him they don't have room. kid is good but he's very small, he's like 185 right now. sort of a tweener with no position at the next level imo.

most definitely. a comparison for him is probably ray buchanon who had a similar game and weight coming out. both were safety/linebacker tweeners.

probably had more to do with anzalone then him. once anzalone committed uf didn't really need linebackers. then word got out last week guys like bostwick had given the staff their commitment so there was no room. but he's a good player, just small as i mentioned previously.
 
It's not a definte replacement for 6, but this would take more than the sting away.Is this kid from Mainland HS?

I think he's going to USC, they supposedly didn't have room for him but they got a slew of decommits
