Quick Tracy Rocker and other updates

Honestly OL coach is one of those spots where I want a "technician".

Lilly is the only one I care about.

Barrow was out best recruiter and it's imperative we get him back.
 
i think Rocker would stay/.i think he is originally from atlanta.

Lilly is a florida boy....but i want Coach Scott to stay.....

I could see one or two of uga coaches coming

I think Richt should take a long look at Kevin Patrick for DL coach.

Coach Lilly is good people... He was the one looking out for us on all our trips to UGA..

Yeah I want Scott and Brown to stay on staff... Hurlie can recruit from the suburbs to the projects... very diverse individual and Scott is a couple of years from having his own team...
 
I think Coach McClendon stays at UGA... only because he became their interim and accepted..makes no sense to stay there through a bowl game if u taking another job..dnt get it..working for one team, but recruiting for another??? Nah...i would want to get started wherever i wll be going next

He's the LB Coach for the Seahawks. Unless he gets fired, only way he comes back is as a DC, and I don't think we should give the job to a first-time coordinator.

There's been plenty of coaches do that . Then join the coach who went elsewhere after bowl
 
Mansell and Kipp Adams from UGA 247 say Rocker prefers to stay in Athens because of his son/family.

I wouldn't be surprised if his performance this year lands him a HC spot with a smaller school. I hope he gets it and starts up the ladder now.

Dave Aranda is only making 550k at Wisconsin.

Throw 1 mil at the guy and give him total control of the defense.
 
Defensive Coordintor - Dave Aranda. How is this guy only making 550k at Wisc? Best DC in college football. Throw 1 - 1.2 mil at him and total control of the defense. Richt likes to hire agressive mf'ers to coach defense. Look at Grantham and Pruitt. I am confident we will get someone really good here.


DL Coach - Has to be Kevin Patrick. Guy was a stud recruiter and pumped out great DL's at USF. He is definatley a tough guy and the kind of coach you want on defense. He is a die hard Cane. Rocker will probably stay in Georgia. Golden had the chance to hire Patrick but we all know Golden only hired "yes" men.

LB Coach - Mike Barrow. Can't think of a better team from a character and personality perspective than Richt and Barrow. Barrow was our best recruiter. It is common knowledge he did not agree with Golden or Doritos on defensive scheme.

DB Coach - Mike Rumph. If any HS coach coach deserves a spot on the Miami staff, it's Rumph. Guy has been dynamite at Heritage. true Cane who played many years in the NFL. You have to think he would be a dynamic recruiter.
 
I like Barrow too, but since the HC's background is on the other side of the ball,
it is important that the DC is a very senior - if not established - guy as he will
essentially be the second HC.
Different story on OC, as Richt will be running that show.
Heck, he can even keep Coley as OC, as he will be a figurehead.
