FSU just barely beat some mediocre UM teams under Folden and Richt's first year. Remember the missed extra point and the blocked pass caught for a TD. A win against FSU is sweet, even by one point.

The biggest and most glaring negative is our special teams. I don't think I've ever seen this bad of a special team. IN. MY. LIFE.

I've see bad kickers, bad punters, bad coverage teams but not ALL at once. My goodness.

Seems like if knowles is on the field something bad for us is bout to go down.

It is sad that a kicker and punter are the reason we can’t hang with the big boys. Something I never realized how big of a deal kicking is to the field position battle till this year. Teams starting at their own 40 most of the game is a huge disadvantage.

Lets not fool ourselves, our O line is half trash...
 
I think players tend to play up (better, looser) if they are not expected to do particularly well. FSU surely has talent on paper, and for the most part they executed in the first half (while we didn't). Yes we played a much stronger second half, but I think they got a bit ****y where things stood at halftime.

That being said, I personally like to avoid talk of blow-outs and over-achievement in the fan-talk. (OFC I get bashed for this.) While it might not get back to the players (maybe some does, but shouldn't matter) I feel like we are challenging the football gods with talk of beatdowns and thrashing before the fact. Silly maybe, so sue (or downvote) me.

FSU suck, they will go back to sucking next time they play. It was the same situation with us under Golden, get all hyped play a close game and come home with moral victories. We were not ready to play in the first half. We played called timid and they were attacking. Ill give them credit for giving us the business to begin with. Diaz stopped with the complicated calls and went straight man and we shut them down. Richt should have had Perry chucking it to begin with. But bottom line is we won. I just love beating FSU. Let them complain about how we beat a below average team for the next 6 years then we can call it even.
 
And after re-watching the highlights, Jackson definitely caused a fumble on the QB in the 4th.

Can't remember where we were on the field at the time, but I think we were pretty deep in FSU territory when that happened.
