Quick positives and negatives

The only negatives were:

- Run defense (215 yards). Prepare to see A LOT of those QB draws, QB sprint, and hand-off counters in the next couple of games. We showed 0 ability to stop it.

- Perry turnovers. More so the fumbles. He gotta to protect the ball better in the pocket. IMO Perry's pass to Harley on the interception was a BB. Harley should of caught that honestly but it bounced off his chest and got intercepted. It was a bad decision though.

- Shaq injury

I would say O-line but we ran for 200 for the first time in a long time against these guys so i'll cut some slack. I still want to see more of Boulware and Donaldson on that right side though. They maul. More Scaife/Boulware and less Jones/Mahoney. Honestly, there wasn't much negatives that I've seem from first glance.

I will say how come our defense looked faster with Shaq out of the game? How does that happen.

i for one am glad we weren't perfect in run defense and a little sloppy on offense that way the coaches can preach on how much we need to work on going into FSU week.

can't get complacent!

He shouldve been throwing in the 4th for the experience
Pick and fumble during a drop back in the second half. Don’t need to shatter his confidence anymore chasing stats and ‘experience’ in garbage time. Clock chewing on the ground is what you need to do.

Surprised to see you guys ripping Shaq. Dude played his best half of football as a Cane during the first half tonight. It's easy to say the run defense looked better when Mike Smith took over in the second half. The game was over by then.

Special teams looked awful again. Kickoff penalty, blocked PAT ALWAYS pressure in between the tackles on kicks and punts. Hartley’s gotta stock to TEs, he sucks coaching special teams. It’s obvious. That looks like a throwaway position in Richts eyes. It already has cost us games this year.

Run defense god awful. UNC was forced to the air due to the score. It looked better when Mike Smith took over for Shaq for a few minutes. LBs are good in pursuit and pass defense. But when they’re attacked they have trouble shedding blocks and can’t sniff out anything. I love Shaq chasing guys down but he looks like a softy when he’s run at.

Hot **** how bad were those QBs we faced. Malik on his worst day both of them.

ST has cost us games this year?

It needs to be better but wtf are you talking about?

We've lost 1 game and even with good ST play LSU had us beat

Yep. Shaq was awesome till his injury.

This board is 75% negative, miserable retards so seeing these dumb****s rip Shaq isn't a surprise

I don’t agree. Miss a fg. Gave that **** offense a short field on almost every score. Good specials completely changes that game imo. Real momentum swings

Because our defense kept scoring our offense didn't get the usual number of chances to outscore the defense. Then when the game got out of hand we didn't run our usual offense because Richt wanted to burn clock. That said, we definitely need a bit more fine tuning on O before we get to Clemson at the end of the year

It sure had a hand in Week 1. Almost every other special teams play breaks down somewhere. Busted protection on FG's and punts and almost EVERY punt since week 1 has pressured the punter at the second level, kickoffs out of bounds, offsides on kickoffs, now blocked PAT's. WTF am I talking about? WTF are you talking about? I like Hartley as a coach and recruiter but take off the blindfold, he is no ST coach.
