She's a common crook. For the past 30 years all her lies, crimes, and hypocrisy is there on file. This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, as she's nothing more than a typic politician.
This is the woman who imposed "hate speech" regulations at Wisconsin, disciplining students for saying things that she felt we deemed racist or sexist.
She installed over the top and unjustified minority hiring and student acceptance quotas at Wisconsin. She's anti male and anti white. She forced students to take ethnic studies classes as part of the curriculum. She's a power hungry central planner.
The same Donna Shalala who permitted left wing radicals like Lou Farakhan to speak on her campus, yet tried to inhibit other conservative pundits back at Wisconsin. At UM, she only allowed 1 right leaning student organization, preventing others with different political views from being recognized as student organization, however that was no the case for left wing or minority organizations.
She used her politics connections to secure mortgage loans at below market rates from a man convicted of insider trading and one of the individuals in part responsible for the financial crisis in 2008.
The same Shalala, champion of the poor and downtrodden, ardent supporter of universal healthcare, refused to advocate on behalf of UM maintenance workers, being paid $6.40 an hour with no health insurance, and their efforts to unionize. Ironic that someone who supported all these policies in Washington, when it didn't involve her own money and that of the taxpayers she was in support of all these causes.
The same Shalala who happily accepted check after check from Nevin Shapiro, gave him access to our program, naming a wing of the athlete lounge after him, despite Shannon urging players and admins to cut ties with him. Then when **** hit the fan, all these players, who accepted pennies on the dollar compared to her, get thrown under the bus while she has the nerve to get on camera and go after the NCAA, talking about injustices. She didn't give a **** about our football program, it was about absolving herself of wrongdoing and saving her distorted legacy.
And again, Donna Shalala, champion equal opportunity, race relations, and fairness to minorities, canned Randy Shannon with the swiftness for poor results, while Al Golden, who in the same time frame has posted even worse results, is under little to no heat, simply because he glad hands better with admins and boosters, and sounds and looks all nice when put in front of a camera.
She's disgusting, dishonest as can be. And these are just slip ups on the surface.
I'm sure someone with more clout and insight into the situation can explain the whole med school debacle, the misappropriation of funds involved, the financial burden it has placed on our school.
