Hey ‘Cane fans…

Louisville fan here looking for info to pass along to Cardinal fans looking to make the trip down for the football game on October 17th.

Looking for info on what sections are usually visitor sections.

Also looking for info on hotels near the football stadium

Thanks

The "best" sections (which will be directly behind the away sideline) would be Sections 117, 118, and 119. My season tickets are in Section 119. These three sections have a "sideline club" underneath, so that if you walk down towards the field level, there will be three entrances to the club. You show your ticket and they give you an armband, you can go back and forth. There's a bar, a couple of specialized food sections (you pay, it's not included), bathrooms, tables and booths, etc.

As for hotels, it's SoFla. You've got a million options. Some people may choose to go to the Hard Rock Hotel/Casino, which is a few miles away. But anything in the North Dade/South Broward County area is going to be relatively close to the stadium.

Maps below. Hard Rock Casino is north. All of those beaches have fairly easy drives to the stadium (big surface roads, interstates, and/or Turnpike). However, please note that the game is on a Friday night, so you'll probably want to drive over as early as possible in case of rush hour traffic.

As someone who lives in Hollywood Beach I can definitely recommend the area if you are coming for the game. You will be pretty close Uber away to stadium and hotels won't be terribly expensive

This is actually good information. ^^^^

Due to the use of the facility for Formula 1, we have lost a lot of our effective parking area. Thus, it may be difficult and/or pricey to find parking at the stadium. Plus, for a Friday night game, you MIGHT not choose to tailgate. So if you are only planning to walk around the parking lots before heading in (which can be fun, we are a pretty nice fanbase on our own turf), I would suggest the possibility of rideshare.

HOWEVER, please note, the "OFFICIAL" drop-off and pick-up spots are still a bit of a walk. They are not "right next to the stadium", unless you find a nice driver who you can pay to break the "rules". I had a guy drop me off on NW 199th Street right by the pedestrian bridge. Just don't try it at 7:29 pm.

Good luck!

Best parking is the Blue Lot. Make sure to ask for Juan. He has a good tailgate.

The circled areas in @TheOriginalCane ’s map above are good ideas. Each one has a bit of a different vibe, so it would help it we knew a little more about your plans. Are you coming just for the game, or are you planning a whole vacation? Who are you coming with, ages, interests, etc.?

Also, you probably don’t want to stay anywhere in the immediate vicinity of the stadium. It’s not the most tourist-friendly area, if you know what I mean.

You are brave to post in this asylum of a board. Welcome hope you enjoy Miami when you come for the game, much to down here besides the game if you have the time.
Always good folks here. Whenever the ‘Canes travel to Louisville, I try to stop by and answer any questions I can. I was sure U fans would help me out.

We love Miami and South Florida. Whenever we cruise out of Miami or Ft. Lauderdale we always set aside time to visit Calle Ocho and eat at Sanguich de Miami.
