I don't know if this has been answered in another thread, but do we know which chain we'll be using on Saturday? Will it be the 2017 U chain or 2018 Ibis chain? Interested to see which one we go with. The U chain is the classic, but the ibis chain took it to another level.

No one knows what it will look like yet, but it will be new. I would guess TNM medallion or something like that

I guess it could be for that also, but I was under the impression the Defense was getting a new one as well. They kind of put themselves in a tough situation by getting a new one last year. I would have just kept the original because now there will be expectation to keep getting new ones and there are only so many ideas that work.

It’s gon be something new..how about just the state of Florida logo..with the 305 on it..cause we all know we run Florida

I thought that it might be a pole with the flags for a player to carry in glory on offense, it would be nice to have the matching chain but I'm happy with what we already have. Cant be spoiled fans

I agree....leave it at the U....that thing was awesome
 
In my opinion, they need to stick with one chain.

Make it a revered artifact and talisman of Miami football.

Creating a new one every year diminishes it.

This will take years to develop obviously, but imagine the honor for a player to say "Im wearing the exact same chain Shaq Q (or pick future Miami NFL star) rocked when he made that big play against...."

Good stuff...

Miami really has something special and unique with this. There is a chance it gets its own 30 for 30 in twenty years.

I like the idea of changing the chain every year. For the offense, I would like to see a Hurricane warning horn that sits on a poll and rotates 360* when set off.
 
On the subject of chains, has it been confirmed there's going to be a TD chain? It's nice that we're not gonna be an embarrassment on the field this year but that doesn't mean we have to make up for it and be an embarrassment on the sideline.
