Does that count as his 1 official "in home" visit. Didn't he see him at his HS?

Just curious if Richt still has his in home left with Byrd.

I think he just visited Byrd at his HS. And the in home with Richards is on Thursday. The question is, when is the best time to visit Byrd. This kid needs to be a priority.

Since MR visited the first day after the dead period, he is done with visits with him.

UM can send an assistant or multiple assistants for an in-home visit with Byrd.

13.1.2.6 Head Coach Restrictions—Bowl Subdivision Football. [FBS]

13.1.2.6.1 Assistant Coach Publicly Designated as Institution’s Next Head Coach. [FBS] An institution’s
assistant coach who has been publicly designated by the institution to become its next head coach
shall be subject to the recruiting restrictions applicable to the institution’s head coach. (Adopted: 1/16/10)

13.1.2.6.2 Off-Campus Contact. [FBS] In bowl subdivision football, the head coach may make in-person,
off-campus contact with a prospective student-athlete or the prospective student-athlete’s relatives
or legal guardians only during one calendar day.
It is permissible for this contact to occur both at the site
of the prospective student-athlete’s educational institution and away from the institutional grounds. During
such contact, the head coach may be accompanied by assistant coaches, who otherwise are required to
observe the restrictions contained in the bylaws.

Byrd said he would have his mind made up before NSD

I'm sure it already is. Recruits very rarely declare that a school that they are about to visit (even if it is one out of courtesy) is out of it and has no shot of flipping them. It's disrespectful and in most cases would be grounds for that school's coaching staff to cancel the visit altogether. Byrd's playing it smart and keeping it classy.

****. I'd rather read the Internal Revenue Code.
