This is an honest question. What does no excuses mean? What does ____ or bust mean? If we go 12-0 and are ranked #2 and lose to #1 Clemson in the ACC title game and are left out of the playoff for whatever reason is that unacceptable for Richt? Is the season a bust?

That's acceptable. No excuses means more quality players coming in, more guys getting developed under this staff and far less performances like the last 4 games.

But, you do realize, sometimes “excuses” are valid explanations of situations, right?

You can't rationalize with the no excuses crowd.

These same posters claimed Golden's 2015 class would set the program back 5 years. Now it's 2017 and there are apparently no valid reasons why we didnt make the playoff or win the OB

I'd extend that a little further as in "no performances like 75% of our games this year".

It isn't about "X amount of losses" imo. We need to start asserting our will. Developing an identity on offense. Stop making opposing QB's look like Tom Brady every week. Drastically improved special teams. Etc.

Depth SHOULD NOT be an excuse next year in year 3 of a regime. This is his program now and he needs to own any and all depth issues. Youth is not an excuse. If you don't feel your young players will be good to go, then you need to hit the JUCO circuit/Grad transfers hard.

Yes I do. I think the fact that our offense has struggled so much is excused by the QB we have. I don't hate Rosier like others do because I accept who he is as a player and accept that Richt was stuck with him. He did better than I expected for a good chunk of the year. It's not Richt's fault that Malik was his best option this year. I think Richt probably expected Jack Allison to develop more and that didn't happen.

I've said before that I've been critical of Richt as a playcaller but I'm holding off on that given what he's had to work with. I also feel that judgement on the offense can be better assessed this coming year. It will be the 3rd year and Brevin, Realus, Pope and Lingard will be added and our young OL's, who have been developing, should contribute significantly.

I'm actually more troubled by what's happened on defense.
