I am older than crap, but not that old....However, I do believe that Hank Stram was an assistant football coach at The U in the late 50's....

On a related note, during the same time frame, Hank Stram's Toupee was a member of the University of Miami Cheerleading Squad....

He was an assistant coach in 1959z the following year he was hired for the new AFL team the Dallas Texans which moved to Kansas City and become the Chiefs.

I had never realized that he had been a coach here, the second SB winning coach with Canes ties.

Became HC of KC chiefs of old AFL. Lost Super Bowl l to Packers but later won one. He was also the HC of chiefs for the Christmas Day game against the Fins, which was the longest game for years. Multiple OTs. Fins won on FG.

FG by Garo Yepremian! Watched the game on TV with my brother and parents. I considered it, if not the greatest, at least one of the top three games in Miami Dolphins history. Everyone in Miami was watching the game, as the Miami streets were completely void of traffic.

Seen old pics of that old dude....................isn't he the one with the newspaper in hand, smacking it back and forth on the sidelines?........
