Here's my take on Gattis.
I actually like some of the run concepts he has ran, i.e., counter, traps, gt pulls, pin pulls etc. As well as the inside zone. I like the variations and use of TEs and WRs in the run blocking scheme.

Where he sucks and badly, is in his passing concepts. It appears he gives his route options constantly with no rhyme or reason and his timing for plays is bad, and further to that, there doesn't seem to be progression of play calling, as in a series of plays that lead to a bigger play (Lashlee was very good at that when it came formations use and with the passing game.buikd up, he just lack that idea on the ground).

He'd be an alright run game coordinator, but I wouldn't let him call the plays. The fact he's the WR coach and a former DB blows my mind, this should be easy to teach, but here we are.

When Dillingham was at FSU, FSU had a serious “culture” problem. Lotta names looked good on the back of the jersey, but wasn’t cohesive as a single unit. A lot of that trash has been removed, & u can see a “team” now.

He stepped into UO where it was already thriving. One of the biggest flops Mario did at UO, recruiting wise, was at the QB position. Shough was & is a bad QB (see his stint at Texas Tech). Then they bargain shopped from The Portal w/ Brown from BC. The only reason UO was a 10 game winner last season was b/c that OL was dominant & they had two dominant backs, Verdell & Dye. Once the left valve of the heart went down (Verdell), the right valve did his best to hold up, but it wasn’t the same.

That’s why UO changed QB, & RBs, but that OL, that staple, remained in tact.

I guess a “gimmick” offense is somehow insulting to you and others, even when it scores 35 a game and wins a lot of games…you want a “real” physical offense with a running game that scores less points but provides you and Mario some idiotic gratification

Players do suck, Mario will rid us of that if you don't think so maybe you should just take a hike, cause he gonna be here for at least 4 More yrs no need to waist that much time off your life in something you don't believe in is it?

We’re ******* 91st in the country in scoring offense and these dorks still support the offensive coordinator.

*We’re actually much lower than 91st if you only count FBS opponents. Go through the list of teams that score more than we do an tell me they all have better talent. We’re less talented than the service academies? Y’all are still waiting for D’Onofrio to get his players so his scheme will work.

The worst part is, we haven’t played some kind of gauntlet schedule.

Was he calling plays there last year ? I thought norvell was the playcaller ?

Either way it seems the guys from that Memphis staff under norvell are respected

Welp there goes our 5 star QB as well. What a **** staff we have.
