I have been disappointed with our offense this year, but I also understand if we had guys Mario recruited it would look a lot better too.

With all that said, Mario isn't known as a Clawson, Kiffin, Leach, Riley, Heupel, Briles, offensive guru guy.

If you were hired as OC, what offense would you want us to implement?

Btw the slow mesh is really cool. I know it takes a couple years to learn the system and doubt Mario wants to do something that might delay the time it takes to be relevant, but really interesting video to share for anyone interested.

Good ****! Thanks for posting.

I have a lot of historical data on Baron Von Richthoven's Flying Circus . . .

And Genghis Khan's Flying Fingers offensive formations . . . talk about gaining ground!

I don’t like the scheme but you have to have competent players too.

Go watch some of the film breakdowns out there from last week. Gattis dialed up some shots that were there, but the OL completely whiffed one on one matchups. Play dead. Coaching has been poor. Execution has been poor. You’re never gonna be successful unless both improve, you just can’t have one without the other.

Gattis is like an Chinese cook trying to work in an Italian kitchen.. . It aint his mojo..
Throwing 100 passes a game doesn't make it spread offense.
His formations and calls are still suspect.

Generally

- Favor simple playbooks over complicated playbooks
- Favor spread formation over condensed
- Doesn't have to be hurry up but I don't want to intentionally play slow and limit possessions
- RPO
- Passing game should throw WRs open and not just rely on scheme getting WRs wide open
- Adjustment routes
