I know Richt said that he was going to switch up the offense this year and terminology. Do we know for sure what it is going to be looking like? I was guessing more of a pro style set since that was his bread and butter but we also brought in 4 more WR's. Personally I love having great receivers (who wouldnt) but running the ball and playing great defense will always win championships. Sorry if this was discussed before, Thanks in advance!

From what D$ and others have been saying, combined with how we've been recruiting QBs, I think you'll see more read-option, spread formations combined with some RPO depending on how quickly the QB can pick it up. That said, Richt more than anyone knows the value of running the ball (if you look at his track record of RBs at UGA.) I would guess we use the short passing game to open up running lanes for Homer and Company, combined with just enough QB runs to keep the LBs from cheating.

Well I thought the whole plan from him coming into Miami was to use RPO as he has already. Im confused what would be the difference.

When did Rick say he was changing the offense? Didn’t see that.

I’d be shocked to see him suddenly change his offense when he’s spent the last year force feeding it to a bunch of freshmens trying to get them ready to take the job from a veteran who didn’t even look all that comfortable yet.

Expect the same offense with slight tweaks to emphasize the best traits of whoever wins the QBs job.

The changing of the offense. Uh-huh, right. Well, I, um, haven't-- I haven't heard anything about the changing of the offense or anything. Not on page six, at least. -

Richt does a good job of tailoring the offense to personnel. I was glad to see him use more spread formation last year instead of trying to force Rosier to be a drop back/pro style QB. Maybe with a bit more depth at RB and TE, we'll see a more of the traditional offensive sets but I'd wager they still run some variation of the spread a majority of the time. It's 2018, you're literally shooting yourself in the foot by lining up with a fullback and a tight end on every play. It's nice to have a short yardage package but the people begging for the return of the Coker T, need to kill themselves.

Richt really doesn’t tailor his offense to a certain QB. He was running RPO concepts with Kaaya. That’s what he wants no matter who the QB is

But we ran Read option with Rosier and not with Kaaya. So he does tailor his offense.

We weren't running QB runs reading off the Dtackle with Kaaya.

If you don't know what youre looking at then sit back and read.

Wouldn't be shocked to see far more hurry up once we have a QB that Richt trusts. Our O will explode with good QB play.

I will be really surprised if we give any quarterback significantly more than the 10 carries per game that Rosier got last year. I think the bones of the offense we saw last year will remain. The hope is for more polish from everyone and more accuracy from the QB.

When we we're recruiting Jarren he said it in a interview

I'd say there were around 5 designed QB runs called per game on average last year. The rest of Rosier's rushing attempts were on scrambles and sacks.
