QB Torrance Gibson to play WR

OSU reporters claiming that Gibson asked to switch to WR because he didn't want to redshirt and that he plans on moving back to QB next season. Apparently, Troy Smith did something somewhat similar (returned kicks as a freshman).

Some of our fans will always fine a silver lining to absolving Golden from his failures... Now it's he's too honest... Man he just straight up lost Gibson... There is no way in the world Urban could have lied to TG with 3 NFL qb prospects... He knew he wasn't going to get pt for a while up there...

Urban is a genius unlike Fat Al. Everyone but him knows how to recruit. He could of been ours, insane talent snh.

But if Golden lied to him about what position he was being recruited for, everyone would jump on him for being dishonest to the kid. When Urban does it, it was brilliant.

Nope. We care about getting the talent here. As soon as you (a recruit) sign that LOI, you hand over your career to the coaching staff. Everyone on this forum called it and said that Gibson would be a receiver when he went over to OSU. Kid probably thought he was going to play QB, he was wrong. For him though, this was the best thing that could've happened. Gibson has the tools to be an elite receiver, and this will *likely* give him a long career in the NFL if he stays healthy. At QB, he'd at best flame out in the NFL as a QB.

Streeter had the same skill set, and probably the same entitlement issues.
Skill set gets you to the NFL, but you need passion and a football IQ to stay there.
We will see 3 years from now.
