1. Did we recruit Jameis Winston at all? If so, were we ever under consideration? If not, why not?

2. Why do we continue to recruit QBs who aren't mobile? Someone like a JW, RGIII, Newton.......?

I'd love to see us get a QB who's 6'4", 235lbs and can run as well as pass.

Morris just doesn't have "it". He can make some phenomenal throws, but throws a bad one or two for every good one. Mentally, he's a disaster back there. He gets flustered, doesn't see open receivers and throws into double and triple coverage way too often. He almost never checks down. Seems he has decided before the snap who he's throwing to.

QB's like that don't grow on trees. I'm sure we were after Winston he was the #1 QB in the country, we were also in the middle of working our way to mediocrity and an NCAA scandal.

We recruit QBs that fit our system

I think you are not realizing that FSU had a stable
Of running backs they were deferring to last night

When their running game and momentum picked up in
The second half Winston took over Miami was the only school
To intercept the guy twice in one game the kid looked like
A red shirt freshman and I am sure the heisman voters
Saw that as well

Bro we just need a little more depth at the skilled player positions
They have 3 heck of running backs an arsonal at wr and that TE that
Is a complete TE that does not get lost in the big game

There is a reason we have 2 GOOD rbs committed and we are looking for one
More there is a reason al is trying to tak a lot of wrs cuz he TE talent is not there
Yet nor is the depth

Instead of asking why haven't we let's just thank Al for where
We are he has done a heck if a job while being under sanctions for 3 years he no longer has to
Take kids that are projects and develop them he can take talented kids to the next level

Thank you Al for what you have been able to do with what you have so far the best is yet to come

Jacobby brissette wanted to transfer here in the summer but the staff told him they didn't have room.

The QB you are describing does not exist that often...and when he does, he's not going to commit to a school where he doesn't know what's going to happen to it. Now that we finally don't have to deal with the sanction cloud anymore, our coaches don't have any excuses for not getting elite talent. So when another QB like Winston comes along, I'm sure we'll recruit him, but so will every other team in the nation.

Which one of those won the last two NCs. Oh wait it was a drop back pro style QB.

1. I don't think he gave us the time as an above poster stated (ncaa, and mediocrity)

2. We recruit to our scheme and strength... It's great to have a mobile QB but luck wasn't "mobile"

3. If your not excited about a possible kayaa and Olsen QB battle you are blind or potato

Luck was a pocket passer who can easily run, and had no problem doing so. Just like Jameis Winston, and RG3 was actually fairly similar in college and the NFL.

Oh really, OP? You want a giant quarterback that can throw and run?! What a brilliant ******* idea! You might've just revolutionized football!! Someone get the coaches on this...and hire this man!

We dont need RGIII to win here. We just need a smart and consistent QB who can effectively run the offense and utilize all the speed and talent he has around him. That's it. If guys like Ken Dorsey and Alex Smith could do it, it just goes to show that in college its more about what you have between the ears, than hanging off your shoulder.

I would rather build a team then have one great player that comes once a decade

Ask Mack Brown in Texas how is life since Vince young has been gone
Ask Florida how life is going with out a gimmick QB in Tim Tebow (neither one are in the NFL)

I think we have our QBs of the future in Kaaya and Olsen
Get more depth at the skilled positions our o-line is only getting
Better

Once we build depth at linebacker and safety we will be on our way

I understand your position but i think texas was pretty **** good under colt mccoy. If he didnt get hurt Texas would've probably beaten bama in the NC. Also, Florida after Tebow has been pretty good even with Sh*t Qb's.
