Official QB Jaden Rashada: COMMITS… & then Flips to the gator… & then the gator welches on the payments so he doesn’t enroll and rescinds NLI

Cliffs:

This is not a Rashada issue, Pate has someone close to the situation and he will release more details when he can which is when this thing is decided one way or another which he understands is Friday however the school could potentially roll it to monday, either way it will be soon.

Also said this is not a Napier issue then gave this analogy:

If we agree for you to paint my house at a specific price, and when the time for payment comes and it does not, are you still going to paint my house?

He said that is what is going on here. He got blasted back in June for saying UF did not have the infrastructure of Miami or UGA to compete so they either needed to lower their expectations to be a mid program or get their act together. Then when recruiting picked up after that he assumed it was fixed but now what is clear is people pledged money but pledging is not the same as spending. So you have UF understanding they have X amount of dollars (he quickly backtracked on it coming directly from UF) to buy players, they go out and make deals, then the money never comes and some UF "boosters" think it is below them to buy HS athletes. He concludes by saying that is fine, I am not telling you how to spend your money, unless you want to be good in football then you need to spend money lol

it’s a stretch to say Rashada has character issues because UF offered him 13 million and he took the bait. I can’t blame him. He took full advantage of the Gators being in a vulnerable state with optics at that time, and made a move. If he wanted to come back to Miami, I’d be all for it. The whole narrative that recruits who cause drama end up being busts is a dead one as far as I’m concerned, they are kids, and all this crap is uncharted territory in the sport.
Agreed

Can't just roll with a Deion Sanders joke?

Shilo's a safety, which usually requires tackling, so he's already a black sheep in the Sanders family.

Shadeur is playing QB, a position that benefits from going into the draft as fast as you can with some good stats and film. If he does well at Colorado this year, he's gone.
Celebrity gif. Michael Jordan bites his lip, then scrunches up his face in laughter, covers his mouth, and cracks up before catching his breath.

If any poster thinks Miami offered him 9 million please get to the social security office asap and try to get a check started , because you‘re mentally challenged.
This! I been saying this since that number came out.

It will be interesting to see where Rashada lands. Correct me if Im wrong but national signing day (not early signing day) is the first Wednesday in February, yes? Given that, signing day is February 1st. That's 2.5 weeks away. That tells me his best chance will be with a school that he's already done an OV at. That list is:

UF
UM
LSU
Ole Miss
LSU

Excluding UF and (likely) UM, that leaves LSU, Ole Miss and TAMU.

LSU signed a 4 star QB from Louisiana.
Ole Miss has not signed a QB to the 2023 class.
TAMU signed a low 4 star QB from Tennessee.
Ole Miss did sign has a highly rated QB for 2024.

Florida and Miami have reversed roles. Miami is no longer taking a cost-effective approach to athletics and UF thinks that in this day and age of NIL that ‘becoming a Gator“ is good enough. Lulz. Someone gonna learnby the time they figure it out or embrace it, we will have two more good recruiting classes underneath our belt. This is setting up for the perfect storm to ruin UF’s reputation as handling NIL with a dash of Down’s.

Article about the timeline of the Rashada drama.

Interesting fact: according to that writer UF pulled the offer BEFORE Rashada committed to Miami, which I don't think it's realistic given that a couple of months after that they offered 13 million to get him LOL

"June 26: Rashada commits to Miami over Florida, LSU, Texas A&M and Ole Miss. The Gators staff had pulled its SCHOLARSHIP offer days earlier."

Scholarship offer, not NIL offer. Yes, the two are closely linked. Regardless, it's all a bunch of crap, the Gaytors knew that Rashada was picking Miami "days earlier" than June 26th, and that's the truth.

On its surface, The Athletic seems to have provided a lot of information in its timeline article. However, they do not really mention any of the other third-party advisors, nor do they start the timeline early enough, such as "when Florida got into the game in the first place", being that the Gaytors had not even been a factor with Rashada until after their disappointing February signing day, while Mario had been recruiting Jaden for nearly 2 years.

Oh, and let's not forget the comments made by the Rashadas' original NIL advisor, which were very disparaging towards the UF collectives.

Yeah, I got that. I just don't think that it's true they pulled the scholarship offer.

UF and its student body is a very different school these days.

They don't give a **** about athletics like that. Not like they used to.

And much of the old booster base is dying off or spending their money elsewhere.

Things may change with Sasse coming in as President, but the culture is definitely not what it used to be.

Imma tell u Why it is a Rashada issue:

B/c he & his family shouldn’t have been in this predicament in the 1st place.

Before he committed to us, ppl like myself, & @Gocanes1990 were dropping tidbits as to his infrastructure. I caught wind of what was what b/c he’s from a small area in the Bay in which I know hella ppl. It’s been stated numerous times again, BEFORE, he committed to us how tricky he was.

I had a personal convo w/ @LeedsCane in which I specifically told her I don’t like his demeanor & I don’t trust his word, not b/c of him, but b/c of those looking for a come up from him.

At the Elite Camp here in Manhattan Beach, reports came out that he didn’t look as advertised; in fact, Emory looked on par. I verified this w/ ppl who were in attendance. Regardless, he was a Cane & u roll w/ ur QB. However, privately, we all knew he was shaky to stay committed b/c his camp used us to shop for a higher deal. We could’ve went 9-4 this yr, & it wouldn’t have made a difference. In essence, he was never fully committed to us.

So, excuse me if I don’t shed a tear that he & his camp got played for playing games.

Anyone offering Rashada $13 million is clueless & destined to end up a chitshow. And doesn't their guy Heitner (whatever his name is) fancy himself a big NIL specialist? Lol
Well it was Heitners group ... the Gator Collective ... that negotiated the deal and got the contract mutually executed. It is also the Gator Collective that failed to receive the pledged funds from the booster group ... that changed their minds and forced the collective to send the "termination notice" on Dec 7 in an attempt to "cancel" the contract. Ouch. And yes ... he actually is an NIL attorney.
