Awesome interview with this kid. If he comes he will be a starter. He reminds me of Mensah with maybe a bit more suddenness. Really hope we land him!
 
Yes, you probably start day 1 at Purdue but behind what OL and with what weapons? FSU will have a completely new staff by the time he is there or after his first year worst case.

UK I can understand. New coach smell, who is an offensive guy, and they are investing $ now. Same w AU, potential to see the field early and play big time ball in a fun offense. Objectively, none of those situations are better than ours though 🤷🏾‍♂️. Love his quote he made about our portal reputation too, he gets it. He’d be protected here and have weapons galore.
 
Abrams was my #1 of the 3 we are pursuing the most. I would not expect him to start year one. I could see him starting year 2.
I found out about a month ago, UF was in the lead early and probably still was for Davidson. It looks like we never led. Let's see if he shows for the party. I like Davidson,m but if we get Abrams, no worries. Now Z. Gamble ****es me off. That shouldn't happen with these relationships.
Auburn is feeling good about Mencl. Let's see how the party goes.

Isn’t Gamble a casualty of the other safeties we are recruiting? I don’t like it either but if we are not making him the priority that UF is, it seems natural for him to favor UF.

We should be able to beat auburn for menci if we really want him over Abraham’s
 
In the NIL landscape take decent deal and go where you can maximize your next deal. Meaning, he gets into a program and pays backup and gets valuable reps and show he can be the guy his deals going up. The way we are stacking talent he’d be playing with some really good wr’s to work with on the second team.

From the sounds of it all the QBs we are in for are making a decision soon.. The on3 guys said a couple making decision next week or so.. Most in April, we will have clearer picture after this weekend I imagine..

Also alot of 5 stars pulling triggers so I imagine big movement from this big weekend..

A lot goes into QB evaluation. But things you need to see are 1. accuracy - a QB is totally worthless without accuracy, see Sitkowski, Artur 2. production - it is freaking high school, you better ball out and 3. winning - again, it is high school ball, a legit D1 power 4 starter should be destroying Lil Timmy. It isnt bulletproof, for example Cam Ward didnt have production because his dinosaur HS coach ran the wishbone, but for 95 percent of cases, it is a useful rubric.

Abrams meets everything you want to see. 68.5% completions 40 to 6 TD to INT and 17.5 yards per completion, so super accurate and takes deep shots all over his tape. Over 4k yards last year, so super productive at HS level. QB of back to back undefeated state champs. Checks all boxes. Also is 6 foot 4 with a plus-plus arm. Better mechanics than Elijah Haven. I think it is a 2 man race between Abrams and Nawrot for best QB in country, Abrams is the better athlete of the 2. Abrams is stronger and more dynamic than game-manager Mencl. I would be beyond stoked to land Izzy, would be a fantastic day for our Canes if he chooses us.
