The interesting factor will be if Richt plays one of the backups in a close game. Barring injury, I suspect not.
We all expect Savannah State to be over by the end of the first quarter. Best opportunity to see the backups get game experience, opponent notwithstanding. Williams could start and play the whole game and the Canes win by 50. The experience does not prove much but does let the backups play against someone other than Canes.
Toledo and FIU are the best next bets. Toledo gave us a game last season, and this year the game is a road game. I expect a Canes rout, not unlike App State two seasons ago. FIU should be a blowout.
