QB Coach

You guys are acting like Fedora is Sean McVay. He’d be a great hire, but he’s not in a position to dictate all the terms. It’s a buyer’s market for offensive coaches, and he probably called Manny.

The juxtaposition of the offensive staff purge yesterday and the leak that Manny likes Fedora around that same time is not coincidental in my humble opinion.

Fedora getting full autonomy

Hence why the entire offensive staff was fired
That was my thought as well. Makes perfect sense to give the OC, a GOOD one, a blank canvass. You don't give Picasso a canvass that has crayon drawings all over it, which is what our last O basically was.

Manny's swinging for the fences and Ponce is a double at best.

--You try and get Coley back home by offering him the gig. He will be expensive (base is 850 right now and he probably closed in on a million with bonuses), but he is worth it.
--If Coley says no, you gotta go after Tee Martin for the gig.

Need a few dynamic recruiters on that side of the ball period

Its has been said when they hired diaz there was a agreement that the offense needed a complete overhaul.

Fedora: OC/WR
Coley: QB coach/passing game coordinator
Seider: RB coach/ run game coordinator

These 3 here are an absolute dream scenario for me

Brown and Dugans both made a pile of money for what they were. Miami should be able to entice guys like this to come. The difference between the salaries of Richt and Diaz should cover Fedora. Make it happen.

Lets get Dorsey. Sure he was a sh1tty offensive coordinator but as a qb coach with Cam he was elite. Remember how good Cam played that year!!!

**** right. There has to be. As much as I want to believe coaching alone can get it done, the coaches we do have, don't yet have the years of experience to make me think they're capable of doing things this way just yet. Maybe they will. But bringing in elite players can make it much easier on them.

Absolutely!

That's a good point but things happened so quickly and Manny did make it known right away about his interest that I thought there might be a connection.

Need somebody with a recruiting pedigree and walking into a house and saying “Hey! I coached Cam Newton and won a championship in ‘01” ain’t it my guy.

He's got experience though. Outside of Coley, who is truly an elite recruiter at that position? Coley is not coming back if he can't call the plays. And that Ponce guy isn't more experienced than Dorsey.

Ponce was 2 all conference performers under his belt in Taylor Lamb and Zach thomas. 2 stellar QB that won...and I believe Taylor Lamb is a coach now as well.
