So you're telling me, if Willie...an offensive coach, who had a trash offense last year, who got a new OC cuz his offense was so bad after trying all year to fix it....


Will be the main reason why their totally and completely new offense improves (assuming it does) and that Kendall Briles, one of the top offensive minds who has improved the offense of EVERY team hes been with....will not be the reason for it.

I'm already on record saying Briles is a top 3 OC in CFB.

Their offense was trash the year prior to Willie getting there. Ppl are acting like Willie walked into a winning situation and messed it up. The culture isn't right at FSU and I bet he gets it together.

Every good leader surrounds himself with ppl that are better than him at something. Willie bringing Briles in is a positive for his FSU legacy, not a negative. I said ppl on here are going to give all the credit to Briles when they exceed expectations but some of that has to go to Willie for bringing him in.

You act like people have some personal vendetta against your boy Willie, hint it's not personal...he sucks, he has a record to prove it, below .500 career record and is 13-41 (IIRC) vs teams over .500.
That tells me his limited success has come against crap teams...period.
Could he turn out good, perhaps, but I give it about as much of a chance as I do you becoming a QP.

I agree that he should get credit for bringing in someone who some would be scared to touch. But that doesnt change that the FSU offense we see next year will be Kendall Briles's offense which will be under KBs full control. If FSU looks good this year Taggart will be credited with "doing what needs to be done " for a turnaround. It proves that hes a good program rebuilder like his resume assumes. However, it doesnt beef up the "coaching acumen" of his resume. He didnt walk into a good situation...he walked into a dumpster and doused fuel on it all year long and hes continuing to wave a match above it. Dude has like 2 QBs on his roster and that's ON HIM.

Everyone pulls out the same recycled statistics when trying to discredit Willie lmao. The fact is he took programs with a losing culture and turned them into winners and once he left and his players graduated, they went right back to losing.

Taggart may be a nice guy and all, but its my opinion that he has exceeded his ability. I think USF was his high water mark.

Any hire of a Briles is a horrible hire. Those creeps should never coach again. But then again I care somewhat about being a human being .

Also it was such a hilarious hire as they have no QB or OL so they have no chance to have even a decent offense. I fully suspect FSU will have the a offense outside the top 80 . And despite being POS the Briles clan can coach offense but it won't matter 1 lick.

As average as Shannon , Coker and Golden were at UM they never touched the crap that FSU is about to go thru this upcoming season. I mean I will be shocked if they win 4 games truly.

Amazingly after the Eagles fired him the Jets hired him, different team same dismal results
