Also, KU almost hired Harbaugh out of San Diego, but I believe didn't want to him to wait until after his bowl game, or something like that. Ended up with Turner Gill instead. Would think the AD wants a do-over on that move. Not implausible, but can't see him going to KU now.

Negative. Turner Gill was 5-19 at KU, and he was a better choice.


Sad fact: KU won the Orange Bowl in 2008 under Mangianto. We haven't been in a bcs bowl since 2004.

Ya know, I completely forgot that Mangino actually had the Jayhawks at 12-1 in 2007. It's not so amazing where they are now. What is amazing is that they ever got to 12-1.

He wins and that's all that matters. Kids want to play for a winner. When was the last time you heard Saban was a great recruiter or fun coach? Never. He wins and that's what draws kids to Bama.
 
Golden would be perfect for Rutgers, Syracuse, Pitt, Boston College, Uconn or Penn State.....not the U.
