He has family in Kansas City which is 30 min from Lawrence. KU is weary about him bc he has always been a "looker." Everywhere he has gone he has always looked around at other opportunities. They need someone who is gonna build the program and stay long term. Miami on the other hand is built for guys like this. Come in and win a championship or 2 in 3-5 years and find a better paying job.

There is definitely legs to this and the only way he isn't at Kansas next year is if they don't want to risk paying when they have doubts he's in for the long haul. They've made 2 horrendous hires in a row and are now paying for it.

The fact that part of this post includes Kansas being weary about hiring a Rose Bowl winning, Super Bowl appearing coach made me lolz.

Harbaugh will have his pick of College Football teams and NFL teams if and when he is release from that dumbass organization the San Francisco 49ers.

Just keep that in mind.

As far as colleges go. Michigan will throw everything at him. So will teams like USC and Florida. ****, even Texas would probably dump Strong if Harbaugh made a phone call to them. Stanford would likely entertain getting him back as well. Other teams I am sure would dump their ****** coaches for him include Georgia, Nebraska, Arizona State, North Carolina, etc. Dude will have options. Kansas is just one of them, and definitely not the shiniest.

I hope he does end up in Miami. For the Dolphins. This time, Stephen Ross just tells him "hey, no more rift between you and management because you will also be management."

Guy gets his teams to perform. Plain and simple. Coach.

It's gonna come down to family. His wife's whole family lives in Kansas City and she wants back bad.
