Put some respect on Chase Smith name

I'm curious if there is any thought of putting both Mo Toure and Chase Smith on the field together with Chase at WLB. Obviously that depends on Bonner, Wiley and the freshmen. What I really want to know is if Chase is capable of playing WLB or is he only seen by the staff as depth at MLB?

They were on the field together a lot. The two LB spots are interchangeable.

wiley has the sean spence factor with a higher ceiling which is saying a lot.

Sean is actually a former cane earning his stripes and he is in that Macdonald/Minter defensive tree which is best defense going so he on track..

OK that makes sense I just never noticed then on the field together. As far as the two LB spots being interchangeable, that's the fist time I've heard that. I have heard that the two Safety spots are interchangeable.

It’s a 4-2-5 the two LBs have very similar roles. The star/rover/slot cb (Scott) is typically the Will in 4-3. That spot is not typically interchangeable because that guy is in coverage a lot more. Just like in the 5-2 and 3-4. Under no circumstances can you put a thumper like Toure there! The two LBs (Mike and Sam) have similar roles and they typically have guys play both with Sam on the TE or strong side. If you look at the highlights you can see Chase in with either Toure and Wes, but mostly with Toure. They rotated those 3 frequently
