I agree w the OP to an extent. It’s one thing to talk on a message board, but when ur @‘ing recruits and players, it’s a little weird.

However, as I mentioned in the past, these kids also have to understand a lot of these tweets aren’t from real fans. They come from rivals and internet trolls in general.

Btw, I truly hate social media. It’s ruined society as whole.

I try to never comment negative about players, but I don’t like them saying crap about fans either. They sweat and bleed, we spend and pay. The coaches and school takes and keeps. Miami is not a storied institution like ND. It os our football program that is storied and it is the players and fans that made it such.

Some people on here might not be Miami fans or spend much for the cause but many if not most to. Some of us have been fans, alums and donors for decades. We have a stake in this as big or bigger than the players. I’ve made millions over the years from the work my degree allowed me to do but I paid my tuition from paychecks I earned while going to school at the same time. Over the years my donations covered the cost of many scholarships.

I love ourlayers and always have. We are in this together and should not bash each other ever. But, I do not think the players have a higher place in the equation. They owe us respect also. They need to remember that they can lose and still get most of what they came her for. For us, it is only about the winning. I don’t like Manny for our new HC. He is FSU dude thinking he knows about Cane things. This is just more of the same from the administration and three more wasted years. Players can like him or hate him. That is up to them. I gave Randy, Al and Mark a chance. I am done with chances. We needed Butch to rebiirth The U and then maybe Mario a few years later. I do agree we need to leave the players allow. They need to shut up about fans too.
 
Us being positive or negative has nothing to do with the product in the admin or on the field...........thats up to them to fix that we can only scream for so long.

I agree except for the players part. No players, no sports. They can play with out fans, tv, publicity, but we can’t support something that wouldn’t exist without players.

If no one watches it is sand lot ball. No money in that, so we are talking Al Bundy softball team? People play football all day long on host of devices— not a player in sight. There can be prostitues without johns but there cannot be prostitution without both. Get my drift.
