I know college football is a cutthroat business and these coaches all know that but I still hate to see this stuff happen to one of the legit good guys in the sport like Jeremy Pruitt.

Hopefully Tennessee will make the right decision and allow Clay Travis full control of their next coaching and AD hires.

Coaches that get fired with big buyouts take “analyst” jobs so the buyout money isn’t disrupted.

If Pruitt gets fired for cause, he won’t have that buyout money to worry about.

Dunno, Fulmer may have positioned Steele for interim HC. But if Fulmer's gone, and if Steele doesn't get the gig..

Let's also not forget the elephant in the room....the ONLY reason these "issues" were reported and this "investigation" was launched was because Pruitt wasn't winning. Tenn wanted him out, he disagreed and wanted his $$$, so Tenn has now removed him while using the "investigation" as a means to not pay him. This will go to arbitration and Pruitt will get some of his $$ but likely not as much as he originally asked for when discussions began for him "mutually part ways".

SEC schools don't get caught up in mess like this....sounds awfully personal to me. He'll land on his feet but the optics are bad and he should've struck a deal to just step down after a horrendous 2020 season....he obviously disagreed with that notion and took the hard stance and...well...here we are lol

At least three other assistants fired "for cause" along with Pruitt, possibly others who aren't named publicly yet.

Brian Niedermeyer, Shelton Felton and Bethany Gunn (director of football recruiting) are the ones whose names are out there right now.

I don’t know why more people are not looking at the dominos falling around in the SEC and bringing up concern that T Rob could pull a Mario and leave real quickly.

Looks like Fulmer is “retiring”.
