I agree this is not ideal but let's say in theory UM and the B10 have an agreement for UM to join the B10 after the 5 year independent period .... couldn't the B10 just schedule Miami in every sport as their out of conference opponents until officially accepted into the conference?ND can’t truly survive as an independent. Their football team can, but they need a clown show conference, like the ACC, to take in all their other sports for ND to be able to be “independent”.
ND gets away with their ACC deal because the ACC is desperately hoping it will lead to ND football joining as a member. UM would be unlikely to be able to survive the five years because the ACC is not going to let us leave in football while letting all the other sports remain in conference for five years.
So do the RepublicansHalf the party believes in socialism now.If the democrats win, I can’t see them letting this go through because of the labor limits.

All the momentum is done. If it passes it'll be the new Dem congress or even senate which is unlikely. I'd say this is dead.House delayed any decisions until after midterms? Could this be huge?
A lot of people are REAL quiet around here about their guy’s role in all this. You talking about trump? He is the biggest supporter and pushing this thing HARD, if it was up to him he would of already signed it into law

After the midterms democrats aren't doing anything. People would have voted for a check on the administration. There will be a new congress and the senate is very much up for grabs next year. A full Dem congress/senate absolutely is not voting for this bill or at least in this form. What do you mean?
Tend to agree because their base is in the cities who aren’t clamoring for this. It’s rural *** places who can’t generate what’s needed while maintaining any sort of budget. After the midterms democrats aren't doing anything. They may take up a bill but it'll be something new IMO. Like someone mentioned once dems have control the Congressional Black Caucus gets the bill they want. That's my read on it. If Johnson brings Congress back there's always a chance but I find that unlikely.Tend to agree because their base is in the cities who aren’t clamoring for this. I don’t even think that calendar is even that accurate. The one I saw has them in session for like 9 days after the midterms and that’s it. Add in there are 60, about 40 of whom are republicans, are leaving their post after the election, not counting any that lose their race. I’d question if all of them even show up. They might be scrambling for votes just to get the couple spending bills they need done.View attachment 373024
This is the House calendar for the rest of the year guys. They won’t be back in session until after the election. Not enough days on the calendar to pass everything else + this in the lame duck.
When they come back they’re also going to have to fund the government since the CR expires in mid December. Depending on the election results even getting a clean CR done could become a real ****show. They may take up a bill but it'll be something new IMO. Good point. This dead lolWhen they come back they’re also going to have to fund the government since the CR expires in mid December. Depending on the election results even getting a clean CR done could become a real ****show.
That impeachment will come back with the lame duck session. Johnson will be doing everything he can to get the couple of spending bills done they need and then get out of town as soon as they can. I can’t see them wasting time on this bill.lol Speaker Johnson just sent the house home, all so Hegseth doesn't get impeached.
Unless the House rams it through during the lame-duck period, this bill isn't getting passed.
IndeedYou talking about trump? He is the biggest supporter and pushing this thing HARD, if it was up to him congress wouldn't exist
Between the CBC and now big labor getting really vocal on it, the message has been sent to congressional Dems. This bill ain’t getting done. Even with the R’s having a couple vote majority there’s enough guys like Massie who would like nothing more than to continue to give a middle finger to their party. If they don't get this done before the election Democrats will kill it. If the Congressional Black Caucus wants it dead it's over.
