I dont care who you are if you dont make the tackle you wont win perryman looked like a ghot last week.... And secondly you **** sure arent going to win if you lose the turnover battle on the road....simple as that

We stacked the box tonight, we didn't last week. It's harder to make tackles when you're outnumbered.
 
Gotta. Adjustments were made. Lets see if they stay that way

I will say duke is awful. That center and Boone made this a game because they were bashing us running. But it's something. Win is a win.

LMAO at the kindergarten grasp of D1-level defense. Yup, we just "stacked the box". Go watch the game again. The alignments weren't THAT much different. The difference was that we actually made tackles on the first attempt instead of the third attempt.

They ran 26 times for 84 yards and 44 of those yards came on 4 rushes (Touchdown Drive).

22 for 40?

That's ownage.
 
Props to the media this past week finally putting these coaches on the spot and invoking them to change the defense up. I feel like I need to send Manny a Pollo Tropical gift card for his work.

I think it will take more than one game to convince people that 3 years of atrocity is gone. Of course it was just execution. Because what we saw tonight were the same calls we saw for the past 3 and a half years. Cool story bro
 
I don't have the screenshots, but tonight some adjustments were made. It was not all execution and whatever coachspeak. On 3rd and 2, we didn't have our linebackers 15 yards deep covering the ref. They were actually near the line, and actually stacking the box. We were able to stop them. Imagine that! When you put players into the position to make plays, and let them play instead of react, they can make plays.

One game out of the last 3.5 seasons doesn't seal the deal. Doritos isn't suddenly some mastermind.

Oh, and this was ******* DUKE.
 
Your absolutely right but the talent level is getting better the depth although we got crushed with off the field stupidity is getting better love the way this team looks

Yep . UM has alot of horrible fans but i still love them with all my heart. WE had the talent all along we just needed to adjust the scheme and we did thank god.

It's duke, not taking away from the players that play for them, but it's almost ridiculous to see the talent difference. This is the type of game where you get younger guys ready for big time action, not squeeze out victories due to mistakes by the other team..

Rah rah...but let's not forget it was Duke and let's also remember who and how bad we lost to Lville, a team that certainly hasn't looked all that good. Talk to me if and when we win the ne few games. And why has it taken this long to change an obvlously non-functioning D?
