Proposed House settlement and NIL

The only edge we have is the ability to outbid.

If you're a Portal or HS player & everyone is offering the same deal, where do you think they're more likely to go?
If money is not a factor, there are other factors:

Relationships, location, development, tradition, conference, brand appeal, etc.

We won't be in the ACC after 2030 so not sure conference will be a hindrance for long.

With respect to the topic, like others have mentioned, the real issue to the sport is the transfer portal being open multiple times a year and every player having access to it to renegotiate as they please.

No other sport in America has a structure like that and for good reason. Instead of a NIL enforcement, I'd be more on board for limiting player movement.

The argument of but coaches move as they please doesnt do it for me (even though they pay a buyout). Every sport has a restriction on player movement because not having one is non-sensical.

Those other factors rarely ever favor Miami.

MIAMI has little to offer BUT NIL.
Then it's probably time for MIA to board up the program, & shut it down. It's really that simple

When has this program ever shown throughout it's history, that it can thrive & flourish in a CFB environment predicated around unlimited spending? 🤔

This program only became relevant, because of the implementation of parity increasing measures within CFB in the early 80's. Which means changes that positively affect the sport as a whole, end up benefiting MIA the most.

Just because MIA supposedly has a top 10 NIL budget at the moment, doesn't mean it's going to indefinitely. This past recruiting cycle was proof of that

Saban needs to go away. He was the final peice that finished me off from watching GameDay. GameDay is the only show I have watched on ESPN other than a live sport in a decade. The channel is filth to me and now GameDay has reached that level. I am done with that show. I am not a McAffee fan, then they added the NCAA plant Saban and unfortunately time has gotten Corso as it will us all. Corso's sendoff for week 1 will be my final view.
