If you did not see Lamar Miller’s 97-yard TD run or David Njoku’s stressful but resilient touchdown against the Bengals, you’re definitely missing out. Those are just a couple of the highlights in this week’s edition of the ProCanes NFL Recap.

RB

In a tough loss to the Colts, Dolphins RB Frank Gore got the ball 14 times for a total of 67 yards against his former team. Browns RB Duke Johnson had 2 carries for 16 yards along with 1 catch for 23 yards in a win over Cincinnati. Texans RB Lamar Miller flashed his world-class speed against Tennessee, running for 167 yards on just 12 carries, including a 97-yard touchdown run. Miller’s TD run was the longest in the NFL since 2014 when ironically, Miller also ran for a 97-yard TD as a member of the Dolphins.

WR

Cowboys WR Allen Hurns caught one pass for 7 yards in a win over the Redskins. In a comfortable two-touchdown victory over the Jets, Patriots WR Phillip Dorsett caught two passes for 10 yards as the Patriots improved to 8-3. Gus Edwards started at RB for the second straight week for the Ravens and once again, he made the most out of his opportunities, running for 118 yards on 23 carries. This is Edwards’ second straight game with 100+ yards.

TE

Cleveland TE David Njoku had a big game, catching 5 passes for 63 yards, but his lone touchdown seemed to be one of the best highlights of the year. Njoku caught a pass in the flat, then tried to leap into the endzone from the 5-yard line and was stopped short, but after a little help from the big guys on the O-Line, he was eventually pushed in. Greg Olsen had a relatively quiet day for the Panthers, catching only two passes for 6 yards against the Seahawks.

DL

Colts DE Al-Quadin Muhammad had one tackle in a 27-24 win over the Dolphins. Jacksonville DE Calais Campbell had four tackles and one QB hit in a tough loss to Buffalo that hampers the Jaguars’ playoff chances just a bit more. Steelers DE Anthony Chickillo did not have any tackles against the Broncos but he did one have one QB hit.

DB

Bears S Deon Bush sacked Matthew Stafford once in a one-touchdown win over Detroit on Thanksgiving.

K/P

Michael Badgley had a busy day for the Chargers, hitting one field goal and six extra points in a blowout victory over the Cardinals. Falcons P Matt Bosher had 2 punts for 96 yards with a long of 52 against the Saints. Chicago P Pat O’Donnell punted 5 times for a total of 235 yards, landing three of them inside the 20.
