We aren’t the only ones willing to spend. The bag helped us get our foot in the door with high end recruits the last few years. Now the results are selling themselves. Michigan apparently dropped a big bag at the last minute for A1, but his response was “Mali and Nick, get ready.”

It’s both. These level of players can get a bag anywhere they want. All we needed to show was proof of concept and not just selling a dream

Plus he had every opportunity to come back after winning the natty his freshman year then getting beat by us this past season but apparently he decided that he's good with Ohio.
 
Seems like it’s also about getting the right guys to stay. Somehow we have hit pretty well with the locals we have gotten to stay. We’ve had other times where we got some top guys to stay home, but for whatever reason they didn’t play like 5 stars. Or we/they insisted they play out of position. Thinking Chickillo, Ray Ray Armstrong, James Williams. Super highly rated and respected, but we’re maximized while here.
Obviously the open season bag game has been the key to our return. And now we just played in an NC so the reinvestment is the real deal! Just look at this incoming class!

Every major school has the bag now unlike the previous era. We’re winning on the national stage and putting guys into the league, finally holding up our end of the bargain.

The Jeremiah Smiths, Pat Surtains grew up watching us be *** and incompetent. Now the big dogs see CiCi, Bain, and Mesi going first round, Mali being a legend as a freshmen, and Miami beating the SEC and Ohio State in playoff games. We’ve turned the corner on perception, it’s no longer promises and vision, its reality.

Ward got it started but Mali turned it up to another level. Just seeing Mali getting swarmed by kids every where he goes. Those are the next Toney and Sears that are going to grow up wanting to be Hurricanes.

Mali’s reach is also outside of South Florida. Kids here in Houston love Mali.

Come on man. Without the bag we don’t get these kids but they can get the bag anywhere now. Michigan was being mentioned yesterday out of the blue because they probably came in with a bag that was way bigger than ours. They have Oracle money to throw around.
