Price of a great recruiting class...

Hear me out on this. I'm all for stocking the cupboard with elite talent for our next coaching staff, but given the ineptitude of the current UM regime and Golden's gift of gab, even a top 25 recruiting class would have been used as leverage for progress. As it stands currently, we are going to have the worst recruiting class since this staff's arrival, stock full of decommitments and negative recruiting PR. Couple that with a 6-7 record, and you have the recipe for a hotter than **** coaching seat entering this year. Is this class going to set us back a year or two, probably, but I'd rather be going through this now, have Golden's *** be canned at the end of the year, and try to hold on like **** to the 2016 kids.

We need to start assembling a new coaching staff now

A good chance Golden doesn't make it through the season. Around the time he is 3-3 I can see total media and fan revolt.

Fire Golden tomorrow and all will be forgiven in my eyes as long as they fire Blake as well. It won't happen but a guy can dream.

Oh, and bring back Butch.

I'd be interested to know where this class as a whole falls in UM recruiting classes since 2005.

You think our BOT/Admin knows a **** thing about recruiting? Do you honestly think they care that we just **** the bed in South Florida? Our own little troll president was quoted as saying she wanted Alfredo to recruit outside of Florida to diversify the roster or some stupid **** like that. Our problems with this football program start way above Al.

If you don't think crappy fans have had some effect on recruiting, Marcus Lewis dispelled that notion.

Set us back for a couple of years? I don't think so, not if you hire a good HC. Take this group, send them to the Baylor, TCU, Boise, etc....those guys get a lot out of lower recruited kids.

Yes, this isn't up to our old standard as an overall haul, but until someone in power shows otherwise, maybe this is the new standard.

Golden will not be fired mid season. It will happen at the end of the season if it happens at all and the admins will scramble to get a list together. Unless Blake James gets fired as well, don't get your hopes up for things to change.

Whole athletic department needs to be gutted.

first off an yall dont wanna hear it will be hard as **** for the admin to swallow pride and hire butch second... i hope we can retain some the offensive staff coley, ice, and kehoe. if we can keep them the rest is an upgrade but we gotta do some admin is not known for spending money i mean aren't we in miami don't get me wrong but **** get some of the brown paper bag boyz to give a donation just a thought

Are you really an attorney?

There's not a chance he is, but then I've met plenty of lawyers who weren't that bright.

Regarding what Lewis said, I don't fault him for his thoughts on the matter, but I also don't fault fans for staying at home either.

The biggest way for a fan to be heard is through the use of their wallet. If the product isn't good, why buy it? Would you purchase anything that doesn't produce the desired result even 50% of the time? Hmm, you probably would as evidenced by the stupidity you display on a regular basis on both websites.

I hop the new President has a short list, and Blake James has quietly sent out feelers now. I'll be shocked if Golden makes it past mid-season.

The team was more talented last year and went 6-7.
