Predictions: Michigan State v Canes

That's walker cutting back. I watched both games and in both games they were giving up penetration to two bad teams and walker would cut back and get the yards. I get to watch alot of msu games since I live 45 minutes from campus. They were also giving up alot of pressure on passing plays. These guys were one of the worst ol's in the country last year and all they did was add a third team all conference Lt from Arkansas st. They're better than last year but most of what they're getting is walker and the bad competition. That northwestern game should've been alot closer but they missed 2fgs in the first half and missed a fourth and short in msu territory. Thorne's ok at QB and Reed and nailor are decent Wrs.

MSU is rebuilding this year. They aren’t expected to win 7 games and are projected to be one of the worst Big Ten teams this year but they have looked impressive against bad competition. If Miami gives Thorn time to throw then we are in trouble. Considering we only sacked App State once, I’m not confident we do that.

I expect they'll be conservative in the passing game and stick with playaction, crossing routes and screen passes. They might do some planned runs with Thorne on some read plays to keep us honest. I'm sure we'll fall for it. I don't think they're much better than app st. And their offense is pretty similar. Walkers better than people's though

To be honest it'll come down to is this team going to stand up or whither. And it hinges on that. If we don't come out with any intensity i could see us making them look better than they are and lose. But I saw a team that has a suspect online no depth at we or the and two corners that make ivey look like an all American. If king and our Wrs don't shred them then we have no hope the rest of the year
 
-I think our offense looks better this week and our defense slows them just enough for a 31-28 close game.
-They miss a tying field goal at the end.
- Instead of the slip and slide, manny breaks out crocodile mile.
-we lose another important player to a season long injury.
-post game Manny also compares the win to the UCLA Edge game for program impact


This rollercoaster season will have its ups, too. :)

Lol, fair enough. I guess we will see tomorrow. And fwiw, I don’t think they will rush for 300 either, but bringing Bama as premise doesn’t really bring the point home to me. Bama didn’t rush for 300 because they didnt have to. Their new QB had a Heisman like performance and they exploited us through the air. I feel confident that if Bama wanted to enforce their will on the ground, they could have. JMO, all moot and irrelevant now but again, we will see in a little under 36 hours. Just win, idgaf about stats anymore.

Michigan State plays fundamentally sound football at the line of scrimmage. Defensively, they might not get many TFL's and pressure from the edge, but you dont need that against us anyway. Let the LBs fly around and bring stunts and blitzes and we are ****ed anyway.

If we cant stop their run game and their offense, we are screwed. Unless King magically found out how to play in an option offense, I dont see us performing well enough to win. We ourselves havent been able to run the ball consistenly and I think Michigan State will be able to do that.

Usually, we should blow a team like them out but with our coaching and how fundamental stuff is getting thrown into the bin, I have Michigan State winning by one score.
 
**** of I know. I never know with our team anymore unless it's against a true power. The rest of the teams, it's only a guess and not even an educated one as we can't be assured of anything the last decade.

Cam picks up a few blitzes well enough then runs into Donaldson's *** and falls down many times near the LOS. Breaks one up the middle for about 12. Maybe punches one in from the 5 after we dink it downfield and get a call or two on a drive.

Mallory mallories.
Arroyo makes one spectacular catch, does great blocking while the rest of the OLine looks for work and that's that.

King throws 22-26 and 168; 1 td, 1 int.

Bolden and Carter get ejected for targeting each other as the RB runs through them on way to TD....

But we WILL put 40+ up against Connecticut CC and Brown will rush for 120+ next next sat!
