Prediction on year Cristobal takes over.

Why would he come here? Oregon right now is a better program than Miami. He is doing fine there and has no problem recruiting, has an easy conference, why start over at Miami?

We probably had a shot at the time of the Diaz hire, but no way now.

Home is home

Was it home when he went to Alabama? Seems like he has already demonstrated he will put career over personal desire to live in Miami, and there's little doubt in my mind that his career is better served by staying at Oregon.

Completely different circumstances. He wasn't taking over a program

It’s a good lesson for Miami. They will have to pay him big and I’m glad. Could have had him 2 years ago but now will pay double but that’s how business goes.
I think most people here were happy with the Diaz hire (not me obviously)

Why would he come here?

Why would Oregon move on from him?

They seem like they have a happy marriage. Mario has them winning the pac 12 atleast every other year and he recruits extremely well. If they win today, as I'm writing this they are up 14-7, he could be set for life. Oregon seems like a program where the school/fanbase understand the challenges coaches face and have realistic expectations, or atleast it seems that way. I don't think their fanbase would be calling for his head after a bad loss to Alabama.

If I were him, seeing the carousel of coaches we've had since our last NC, it would take ALOT of $ to even pick up the phone.

I'd love to see him in coral gables. Heck, Oregon looks ALOT more prepared to play in Columbus than we did in Atlanta. But, after not even calling for an interview the last time, I think someone in his position would easily have an issue with UM.

I've been to a game in Eugene and Cristobal aint going no where and he would be out of his **** mind if he did. He has endless resources and a fan base thats loyal. Remember UofO is not competing for recruits like Miami, its the only game in town. I'm a Miami fan but times have changed alot and money talks. That Nike $$ hits different.

New coach will take over once Mannys contract is done. As if our board will wait on that.
