Prediction for state of program 2018 opener v lsu

curious, what the expectations or predictions are for the health of the program in 2 years by the time Miami opens the season against lsu in prime time in 2018 at cowboys stadium. Preseason top 10 and a playoff contender? preseason 15-20? By this time richt will have had two full recruiting classes and should have an experienced QB going in to that game.

It's all gonna come down to our OL recruiting and development the next two cycles. LSU is literally recruiting an Army of 4 and 5 star DT's. They took a haul last class and look to be taking as many as 4 again this year, and it's not like that's a position of need for them. They're red shirting those monsters and gonna throw them out in waves.
 
We will be competitive but CMR has to come through big time recruiting wise. With a stud QB and a good D you can beat anyone.
 
If Kaaya leaves it will set us up great for that game. Because our 2017 starter will have game experiance at QB. Kaaya returns in 17 then a new QB is taking first game reps at lsu
 
It depends how well this staff can recruit.

If we hold the class we have together and add Bandy, at least one star safety, that will make us a better team. Offensive line and linebacker need a total rebuild. In the next two classes, we probably need to sign FIVE linebackers and FOUR offensive linemen who are 4/5 star type impact guys.

That's what it will take to even have the horses to compete for the ACC without massive roster gaps

I'm not sure why we're only signing two this season. I say three minimum. Same w DT. Why only Ford?

Stockpile that talent.

Then again, they get the big bucks for a reason, so I'm sure they have their reasons.
 
All I know, is Frierson will have a Pick 6 that game...
 
I think the program will be stocked with Miami caliber talent and will definitely be preseason top 15, but depending on the QB situation will determine how good that team will be imo, but absolutely we'll be toe to toe with LSU

I agree, we need two Dts in this class imo. Staff should be on Kane Taylor
 
Like Bama, Lsu will always be good with ****** qb talent. We'll win b/c Les is just collecting checks right now. His time has run it course at LSU just like CMR @ Georgia.
 
I can't wait for that game. I live in Nola and hate these tiger fans. They do seem to respect the U however.

LSU may be on the downslide if they stupidly fire Miles.

Hopefully Richt will have Miami heading up.

Staff isn't high on DT talent this year from what I understand. So i agree if that's the position they are taking...stock piling talent is good and all but why stack up developmental chips when you could save that space for Miami caliber players..Senior years also haven't been played yet so there could also be some names that pop up throughout the season.
