3rd or 4th ... I say 4th since UGA didn't drop at east to 3rd in either of the polls after OSU beat PSU and UGA struggled with UF.

My prediction:

1- Oregon
2 - Ohio St
3 - Georgia
4 - Texas
5 - Miami
6 - Tenn
7 - Penn St
8 - ND
9 - Bama
10 - Indiana
11 - BYU
12 - Boise St

It'll be interesting to see if they sneak Ole Miss or LSU in there and make the argument of "best" over "most deserving." It'll also be interesting to see where SMU ranks overall. I don't think there's any way they get into the top 12 this week. But if they're close (maybe 13-15 range) and have a chance to be in the top 12 by the ACCCG that'd be huge.

I don't think even the biggest SEC shill could argue for Tennessee over Miami.

I was told right on this here site that the committee would not put an undefeated Canes team in the playoff. So, 13th.

Tennessee has not been impressive the last few weeks. UF should have beaten them (it took a one in a million type occurrence with time running out before a FG could be kicked by UF for Florida to lose). On the other hand, we absolutely dominated UF in their house. Tennessee way overhyped.

UGA: I watched the first half & UF was beating UGA badly when Lagway was still in the game. UF looked like they were going to win as Beck was throwing picks like TVD used to). With Mertz out injured, UF had to turn to their 3rd string QB who transferred in from that football powerhouse known as Yale. The UF offense was completely impotent at that point (for over a half) and it was still a fairly close game. UF dominated UGA at times on the first half. We dominated UF in their house.

The great news for us is that there aren’t any totally dominant teams this year. UGA has flaws with Beck descending consistently into TVD-mode.

We need to throw every resource available in the Canes universe to fixing our D because we know now that our Offense can score on anyone.

Miami’s resume is much better than people give credit. Although none of the wins are against top ranked teams, 6 wins are against P4 teams that are .500 or better. The other three are FCS and P4 (which every team has) and FSU.

I’m not impressed with TN after watching a few of their games. The other 4 if ranked above Canes OK I can see that.

Does anyone know the rules for the initial rankings? Is it pure rack & stack OR follows the seeding process with the assumption that the current & highest ranked of each Power 4 take the 1st 4 spots? IE Miami not gonna be lower than 4
