Predict the first series under Enos against Florida

They're probably going to come out fairly conservative, maybe an easy rollout or short pass to get everyone comfortable.

Nah, triple reverse flea flicker.

I am sure Florida is going to be aggressive with us having a new QB so I would like to see us use that aggression against them and throw a screen to Dallas.

Screen pass whether to a receiver or RB. 1st game of the year defenses are going to be super active. Calm them down make them be honest with a screen.

Less about the success level (but go ahead), and more about what you guys predict his opening strategy will be. Will he hit the ground game early to try and take the pressure off Jarren a bit? Screens and short passes to build up his confidence while trying to get our play makers in space?

Or is he just gonna say f**k it and tell Jarren to go long on the very first play?

Personally as long as we see something other than routine 3rd and longs again I'll be happy.

In reviewing Enos at his previous stops with a first time starter QB, his history indicates a short pass in space or short play action pass to the side of QB's throwing arm.

My guess is he doesn't call an up the middle run because that is just going to waste a down with little to no gain as the outcome.

Go right to 14:39

oooooh i dig it. a screen pass 1st snap. sweet

It would be nice to see one of our returners house the opening kick off like Hester did in 03, I was at the game by the way (16 years old then) I swear the ground was shaking.

that was all out ******* bedlam. maybe the greatest start to a game in the history of mankind

J-Dub's in as the QB, with Tate and Kosi both in the backfield. Ball's hiked, J-Dub pitches it to Kosi who takes off to the left. He then laterals it to Tate who's on the far right side. Tate sprints past an overweight DL and LB. Tate then jukes the safety and right before he's about to cross the goal line he waits for J-Dub and Kosi to catch up so they can do the Ickey Shuffle into the endzone. Go Canes!

How about some elements which should have been staples of our offense for the last 15 years, which have been previously ignored by the last God-knows-how-many-OC's we've had:

-Shallow crosses
-Angle routes to the RB out of the backfield. Texas concepts in general
-Intermediate Digs
-Seam/Slot posts

My kingdom for these things. Give me an offense that aggressively attacks the middle of the field. Enos presents hope, let's see if it comes to pass.

What if that's exactly what the gates are expecting then? Does he not do that to throw them off? Do they expect him not to do that to throw them off so really doing it is what's going to throw them off? Mind games.
