Pre spring lineup (top 40 guys who will play) is just insane.....

If you look at the projected top 40 guys who will likely start or be in the rotation, it has to be the best we have seen in a long time.......no need to get caught up with who wins the battles to start, but I am predicting that these 40+ guys below will play the most.....STACKED

QB - Mensah
RB - Fletcher, Pringle, Brown
WR - Barkate, Wingo
WR - Toney, Vaughn
WR - Jacobs, Moore
TE - Lofton, Gilbert
LT - McCoy
LG - Buchanon
C - Rodriguez
RG - Samson
RT - Cantwell
Swing OL - Merriweather
Swing OL - SJ

WDE - Wilson, Lightfoot
DT - Moten, Carter
DT - Scott, Davis
SDE - Blount, Lowe
MLB - Toure, Smith
WLB - Wiley, Bonner
Nickel - Thornton, Antoine
CB - OJ, Brown
SS - Poyser, Day
FS - Fitzgerald, Mack
CB - Lucas, O'Connor
the next 13 would be in 11 of our 12 opponents top 30

Lyle
Upshaw
Pariss
Spafford
Erwin
Cogden
Muehler
Scroggins
Pickett
Stencil
Pruitt
Ewald
Dunnigan

I feel pretty good that our OL will be Meriweather, McCoy, Buchanan, Samson and Cantwell. Hopefully, 4 games can solidify them before Clemson. I have already spent to much time mix and matching this lineup. I would have Rodriguez and Wilkinson or maybe Cline as the primary backups. I really fear a QB injury #1, it's over. OL injury #2, it's big trouble. I pray another TF OL besides Cantwell is unique in being ready if needed.

Out of curiosity...

Do any of these new WR's give us a deep threat? I'm not really that familiar with them.

I don't know if this OL unit will be able to impose their will on opponents like we did this season, but if not, I think the ability of Mensah can offset that a bit. Not only through the air but also in the QB run/option game.

From what I've seen, Jacobs is a legitimate deep threat. Waiting to see Wingo against college corners.

Believe Blount has said he wants to move inside. Not sure he adds enough weight to make the fulltime switch but he will play dt a lot.

True... I see from vaughn - looks physical and great hands with quick feet, attacks the ball aggressively with his hands when he wants, but not the burners like jacobs as U stated.

Good question to ponder about that coach macho asked.

Vandrevious Jacobs is definitely a deep threat.

Don't be surprised with Upshaw at WR

Coach,

No x’s & O’s guy, but with the addition’s in the Wr core, maybe we won’t have to be as imposing of a OL because defenses will have to play us differently…

****, maybe I’m out to lunch

I hope 4 WRs formations if our te play don’t get better.

Left tackle is either going to be McCoy or the kid from Georgia. Samson is a guard here and a good one.

Def a good piece on the oline that showed good work at guard. What gets me thinking is the fact we know oline a question mark but mirabol loves to move olineman around to sharpen their skills.
