Pre spring lineup (top 40 guys who will play) is just insane.....

We’re past the point of moving guys to fill roster holes. What’s his best spot to be an impact player?

Blount won inside a lot more often than he ever did outside, and he’s only 18. He’s not artificially bulked up. He’ll only get heavier in the natural course of maturation. At the moment, he’s not dynamic enough outside and I don’t see a plan to get him there.
No it's quite literally NOT moving a guy - thats my point lmao. The staff LITERALLY had him in the role to start the season I'm saying he should be in this season. His best spot to be an impact player is 100% SDE. NOT moving him is best filling the roster hole. I don't even think it's arguable otherwise. We literally already have Moten and Scott. Blount 100% is NOT starting over either at DT. Especially not on early downs. You claim he won inside a lot more often than outside, but he **** sure was not winning against the run inside at all. He was literally our worst graded player against the Run on the Dline... If Blount wants to have the largest impact on this team next year it WILL be at SDE on early downs, and sliding inside on Rush downs. In order for Blount to BE a DT he has to gain much more mass, period.

I trust the staff to figure out the OL. That just leaves tight end as my only lingering question. I have no qualms with linebacker.

IMO It shouldn’t really be a lingering question as it is an unnecessary position in Dawsons offense. Might as well be worried we don’t have a true fullback. Would much rather play one of our very talented WRs, RBs, or put a 6th OL on the field.

What’s most exciting to me is that Mensah will have a full offseason with all of his receivers present and healthy. That gives him the chance to put his fingerprints all over the offense from day one and build real chemistry with the entire group right away. I keep thinking back to the Cam Ward year, when he never fully got in sync with Sam Brown, who came in as a spring portal addition. This time, Mensah isn’t dealing with that. With a weak opening schedule to start the season, he and the receivers should have plenty of time to find their rhythm, so by the time Miami gets to Clemson in Week 5, this passing game should be clicking at a very high level.

The added bonus is how much work the defense back group will get this offseason, this is truly exciting.

I think Lyle bounces back, it's a three headed monster attack this year and Brown ends up being the odd man out.

I doubt Brown is left out. He executes his assignments at a high level and makes key plays routinely when needed. Actually the only two 3rd siren conversion runs I saw him not convert this year were plays he literrally slipped and fell on trying to jump cut

TE is actually very important to dawson offense but everyone thinks a TE is only a wr when majority of their job is for the run game.

I dont think its about that, I think if Fletcher, Lyle, and Pringle all play at a high level we know that they are capable of, I believe it leaves very limited touches for Brown.

If I had to give a rating on how everything has gone since the NC game(additions/subtractions, portal, retaining players, etc.) I’d give it a 9/10. There’s basically only two things that I would go back and change if I could: Land Seaton and hold onto Popo. Popo wasn’t a huge deal but I would have liked to hold onto him for quality depth in case of injuries. The Seaton thing is what it is. He wanted a gargantuan payday and Mario wasn’t going to budge on his number.

Remember
That’s the way it used to be in 80s90s
That’s the way it should be at Miami!!
I get what you mean but we know those days are dead

If you talk to a fan of any other program, OSU/UGA/Bama…ok don’t but…they will all say they need DL depth

It’s amazing we got everyone to stick around in this day and age of the portal

Yep and I'd also say that I expect us to use more 2 back sets (21 personnel) in lieu of an extra TE (12 personnel) that can be effective both in the passing game or in the running game.

Don't see SJ in the top-8 at OL, personally. He's tiny and didn't play well at all when they used him as an extra OL or FB.

There are qualms I have with the list, but overall agree with the intent of the message that this is the best team at Miami since 2002. Roster is absolutely loaded with depth and talent.
