Pre-NSD podcast

I'll be ****ing ecstatic if we split Hendo/Edwards. Despite my cast iron stomach, I'm shook on those two. Edwards is just a straight up idiot if he goes to UF with the way they've recruited him, how aggressive we've been, and his circle pushing Miami.

Thanks for the content, Peter Ariz. Well done as usual.

Makes no sense that Edwards will go to UF when they treated him like **** throughout the whole recruiting cycle, and his whole family visited Miami with him and is pushing him to UM.

People can talk about "dropping bags" all they want, but sometimes it's just a case of a 17 year old making a poor decision.

Actually it makes perfect sense. It tells me that UF is where he always wanted to be. Just wanted them to show him a little love. (and they literally gave him just enough love to get him. smh)...Funny thing is..if we had done this to him? OMG. We would have been blasted by every local handler and forbidden to recruit Miramar High ever again. Smh. But its okay for UF to do it. Go figure.

Another funny thing is that I hope he knows the only reason he is there is because Elijah Blades decommitted and because they feel Henderson is ours. And that doesnt bother him one bit. (shrugs) Whatever.

I know Slaton is a longshot, but now that Herbert committed (and assuming he sticks) that can only help our chances right? And now we're giving him the opportunity to try and play DT.

And we have the best dline coach in the game with a stacked ol class so he can actually switch and believe it when the coaches tell him. Once again this comes down to will the kid make the smart choice

Pretty sure I read somewhere that he has some work to do academically, we shall see how this goes

- Edwards at 1 PM; daddy issues, enjoys being neglected, not comin
- Henderson at Noon announcing at Columbus; he comin
- Hillery; could flip to central michigan; or Kentucky; or somewhere else; FML; Momma wants him closer to home; we want him; maybe comin
- Thomas, Harley, Dean comin
- Thomas @ 10 AM ESPNU
- Harley 10:15 AM CBS Sports Network (National TV)
- Jhavonte Dean Unknown time
- Potential transfer announcing tomorrow
- Miami recruiting Slaton as DT; potential NSD flip (unlikely)

Not a word on Devonta Smith... that boy comin, pencil him in

Thanks boss man

Florida has a chance to land 3 defensive tackles this class why would Slaton be dumb enough to choice them especially considered he will be a converted DT

Hillery's mom wants him closer to home, so then he considers Central Michigan??? AND Gables and Kentucky are about the same distance from Brunswick.

They gave him a #77 jersey telling him basically he's going to the ol

Slaton is allegedly a "weird dude" "who hasn't taken the recruitment process very seriously" and "probably doesn't have the grades." I wouldn't be surprised if he committed to Mashed Potato University tomorrow.

Definitely a guy who should wait until after NSD to get his stuff right

Edwards - UF (right now - could change like the wind)

Henderson - UM (right now - UF coaches are trying but have an uphill battle)

Thomas - UM

Dean - UM

Harley - UM

Hillery - making final decision tomorrow between UM, Central Michigan, and NC State

Slaton - Mood changes everyday, Miami still recruiting him as a DT (longshot signing day surprise)

Logan - IMO he announces his transfer to Miami tomorrow (Pete hinted at it)

Great with that.. I MUCH rather have Henderson who has a better speed and upside.. I'm telling yall.. Edwards is a poor man Redwine (Redwine had better film).. I like Billy Gibson and Latavious Brini a lot more then Edwards.. Edward had a good 7 on 7 at Florida camp and people going wild for him... I never got the excitement for Edwards.. I think people just love his size and he looks intimidating (I do to).. but (lets admit it) he is slow at CB and will be turned into a safety.. I always see him getting burned by HS WRs but people think this dude the next Sean Taylor or something... Still hoping we pickup Bentavious Thompson (the RB) his Senior year was impressive. Hillery clearly wants to flip but I don't think he has a legit option.. maybe Kentucky would be the most realistic flip if they are even recruiting him actively.. I'm not counting out a Herbert or a Slaton flip.. meaning Herbert to Florida or Slaton to Miami.. something tells me either Miami or Florida is going to get both.

Smith didnt visit

so hes not coming, move on

He UOV'ed twice, that's a huge difference. I won't get my hopes up but he's at least been on campus a couple times.

It's not really a huge difference. There have been guys - local guys even - who UOV'ed every weekend it seemed, never took an OV, and signed somewhere else. Again, in the last decade I can't think of a SINGLE recruit who has signed a LOI on NSD who did not take an OV. Not one.

He'll say, "Home is where the heart is." Then he'll plop a bowl of mashed potatoes on his head.
