Prayers Up for Laquan Treadwell

Beautiful campus
Great college atmosphere
SEC
Great game day experience
Best tailgating in college football (not debatable)
Hottest women around
Clearly a good head coach who can recruit

If you think Ray Ray or anyone else would have come to Miami without being paid you are in denial. Very weird to have such hate Ole Miss

So none of those attractions you listed above must have existed prior to 2013, right? Were talking about a garbage program with a no name coach, suddenly pulling a top class. Btw Ole Miss is under investigation.

Garbage prorgram? You are talking like Ole Miss is Tulane. Answer the **** question. Does Miami pay players?

That is a strawman argument. This discussion isn't about if Miami pays players, it is about Ole Miss. Nice try.

Ole Miss is a garbage program that has done nothing of note outside of the years that they had either Archie or Eli Manning at QB. So yeah, when they land a top 5 class that includes 5 star type players from places like Florida, it is enough to raise some eyebrows.

lol

Exactly.

Do you have proof that UM has done this?

BTW, interesting how you state Miami, not UM.

Think we have ourselves a mole.

Youre joking right? And I went to Ole Miss. I just think its funny how you guys cant see the irony here

Ah, that explains it.
STFU then.

Weak

Truth.
You're wasting bandwidth on this board.
This place is for Canes' fans, if it offends you that someone
is correctly ascribing their recruiting success to an open checkbook, then
you should seek shelter on an ole Pi$$ board.

Not offended in the slightest. Wasnt even mad they lost.

Dude, there are teams like Alabama that have actually put a good team on the field never have a signing day like they had that day.... That was one of the biggest blatant displays of paying big on NSD.... sorry your Ole Miss bachelors won't let you see that. It wasn't that they were better, I think it just worked out that they maybe had some connections to those kids and they ponied up big time.... cause it was ridiculous. I have followed recruiting and I have never seen any school get that many 5* guys on NSD let alone a fuggin team with a .500 record the yr before...

You don't understand, they have girls on ole Pi$$'s campus.

There is one player from Florida in that class. A couple from Texas and 1 from michigan or wherever treadwell is from. The rest are from ms,ga,and other areas they normally recruit from. Do some homework

You have never seen a school get two 5 star players o NSD? Again if you dont know what youre talking about sit this out. 1 of those two had a sibling on the team. Treadwell committed in January. Cute try though

I'm not gonna outright say that ole miss payed for their players but I think it's hard not to be suspicious. And I think your argument saying that Miami pays players is misguided. If anything , the Nevin Shapiro thing showed that we don't. He was our big time booster and yet the worst things that were found was him paying for some players meals and drinks and letting them go on his boat. If he or anyone else had actually been paying players to come to UM, it would have come out and we would have gotten in much more trouble.

Fair enough. FWIW I know every team in CF gives their players a little on the side. I just think its funny how outraged people (not just on this board) get about that Ole Miss class. Why didnt they pay before or in Freezes first year? Ole Miss booster money isnt new. Good points though

No. Every team in CF doesn't give their players a little on the side.

But they should give them a lot on the side.

But but but it's cause they has girls?????

They paid a boatload for a top 5 class out of nowhere.

So youre saying Miami ha never done this?

Sure, I suspect we did from things I used to hear. Even Shapiro was complaining that his best didn't come close to competing with what the SEC schools were able to do. I suspect any such activity by UM supporters is pretty much gone now. I've always objected to it, even tried to turn in an assistant coach once, many years ago (not for paying but for getting a booster to provide some business assistance for a recruit's father--kid never made it in anyway).

Something, though, is very suspicious about the Ole Miss situation, if, indeed, they were flashing money. These kids don't usually end up with such extra wads of cash unless they (1) won the lottery, (2) did some dealing, or (3) received some cash from some other source, like an assistant coach or recruiter.

There was a story here some months ago from a UM fan who worked behind the desk in a fancy Tallahassee hotel. He said an assistant FSU coach came in and went to the cash machine to pull out a roll just before meeting a recruit. I don't think he needed to carry that much cash normally just for going out for dinner and to sightsee.

As you'll see from my post above, I remember a story that Shapiro had complained about not being able to compete with the SEC schools. The context of the report, which I read some years ago, was that he was trying pay but couldn't come close to what the competition was doing. I might be wrong; I read it a long time ago. Who knows?

I remember that quote as well. Nevin was our big booster and couldn't compete with the sec at all, but that doesn't surprise me one bit. But that's why it is always suspicious when an sec team gets some recruits out of the blue.

I watched the game and i yelled for his *** to get down before the goal line. Kill time but now in hindsight save his season, smh.

Don't care about anyone but this U. All of FSU could tear a knee I wouldn't give 2 *****

Seriously stfu. The women alone are enough to get any 18 year old there. And buddy we are on probation for paying players!

Wow, Ole Miss has women??? If only every school did!!

I guess they were invisible women up till 2013 as well!

Serious mouth breathers here lately

Besides Laquan name another player the paid. Nkemdiche brother was on the team. They started recruiting Miss much better than normal. Everyone pays players. If you cant see that I cant help you.
Laremy Tunsil

Prove it

Wow, seriously? This is your comeback.

Lol, you're right on all counts. Nothing changed...Ole Miss really just missed out on 50 years of potential domination.

Please.
