How many times y’all gonna come on here and ask about Nesta and Zion. Sheesh.

Those three might average 80 tackles per?

No way. Not because they aren't "good enough", I just don't think that they will see the field enough to rack up that many tackles.
Between Flagg, Smith and Cave might get 250 tackles.
Well, now that I think about the addition of an ACCCG and a bowl game....maybe. It's possible. But they need to stay healthy and on the field.

Cave and Flagg had over 550 between em there final two years of HS. Also, I think school will challenge us more on the ground this year since we showed our colors last year AND to slow us down. Shaq and Pinck sophomore years they hit 201 with Zack. 250 might be stretching. A lot of possible scenarios though could see them on the field enough.

Either way these three should rack em up.

A couple of key players were missing at practice this week: LT Zion Nelson and DT Nesta Silvera.

And after Thursday night’s drills coach Manny Diaz addressed their status.

“They didn’t undergo any surgery, both guys were experiencing just soreness from previous situations,” Diaz said. “Precautionary. Guys have experience. I expect when we start game prep next week both guys will be back.”

Diaz said “other than long term” injuries the team should be fully ready to go.

“Chantz (Williams) is a day or two away, the scrimmage (on Saturday) may come too soon for him,” Diaz added. “They expect him full go at latest next Monday.”

No shade on JW. He's an athletic freak in a good way, like Rousseau was. But football-wise only, Chase Smith is the better Striker and Kinchens the better Safety. They'll all end up on the field at the same time by next season, the coaches will sort it out and find the right role for all of them. But that 2021 class is LOADED.
JW could play multiple different spots in this defense. Will be interesting what position he’s at next spring

“Last year I didn’t really know football (like I do now),” Harrison-Hunte said. “Now (Jess Simpson) is teaching me the game, reading offenses, the offensive line. All I have to do is use my tools.”
Great to hear out of JHH. Kid is going to be a beast this season. As others have said, JHH and LT rotating with Miller and Ford are going to make a nice 2 group rotation at DT this season.

Simpson was a solid hire for this very reason. Glad to hear players are benefiting from it. Hopefully, results to more sacks.
