Practise #8

That wasn’t Ivins. It was Lake who’s arguably the worst male UM reporter out there.
Interesting that we have multiple reporters reporting different information on the same site. I posted to show
what 247 is showing, there are conflicting reports all over the net. I just want the most qualified person to win
the job

We all do. People are getting panicky that Perry might win the job. They're worried about it based on how he was last year on and off the field. Perry deserves a clean slate as much as Tate or Jarren. I mean, it's not like Perry drugged and raped a girl on campus or stole food from a grocery store. Oh wait, you can do that and still win a NC these days.

Can't wait to watch our defense against Searles week two. Further, once his recruiting and "development" start paying dividends at UNC

I think Tate wins the job bc he will be more of a leader, learn the playbook better, and move the ball better than the other two.

Yes I've been to each practice and viewed then fully. Would u like my biased observation?
i agree and i am confident about it. its true that the coaches haven't made up their minds per se but when tate learns the offense and plays as fast as he is capable of playing it will work itself out.

As long as you keep hearing the word, 'pocket' you're going to hear about Jarren and N'kosi . . . if you start hearing mobility, quick release and play action, you're going to hear about Tate . . . if you keep hearing OL problems . . . who're you going to hear about?

If the QB battle is even open for interpretation Tate will get the job. That's Manny's guy, Kosi and Jarren are not.

I don't believe it will be close by the time spring is over though. Once they go live in these spring games and Enos opens up the playbook a bit, it's going to be clear who can move the ball the best.

This is what was said on 247. No QB was labelled 1, 2 or 3:

1. N’Kosi Perry (rSo.) or Jarren Williams (rFr.) or Tate Martell (rSo.)

Breakdown: First team reps continue to be shared. There has yet to be any true separation amongst the quarterback group this spring. According to the UM coaches, each quarterback has had their good and bad practices and judging by the information that has come out of Saturday's scrimmage, no quarterback had any consistent success against the first team defense.

It's not perfect. Without counting specialists or walk-ons rewarded with a scholarship we're at 75.

QB - 4
RB - 5
FB - 1
WR - 8
TE - 5
OL - 13
DL - 17
LB - 8
DB - 14

Not about the numbers as much as it is about the quality of the numbers....we got 13 OL.How Many of that 13 are worth a ****.We are getting there but we aren’t close to having the quality depth good enough to compete with the big boys of CFB.We are at least 2 very good/great recruiting classes away from having the type of depth we need to compete at the highest level..jmo

Okay let the orange and green shade wearers start with the downvotes.

One great class away. Two good classes.

That’s fair but the portion the media does get to view is not seeing the whole practice so hard to really make any statements of anyone being neck and neck. Furthermore I like the guy at footballvillenation it’s just my opinion
It’s like seeing the first 20 minutes of a two hour brain surgery and saying the surgeon is doing a great job only to find out that he twitched at the 78 minute mark and severed the optic chiasma.

I think Manny supplemented that very well with the portal. We should be good this year but absolutely have to have a top 10 class or so to mix with the '18 class or we're starting all over again. Especially since a lot of the transfers are a 1 year rental.

If you go back and listen to Manny being interviewed he said we were two recruiting classes away from having the depth to compete at a championship level...in the spring of 2017.
