PRACTISE #5

Iverson's Practice soliloquy is definitely in the Pantheon of all time meltdowns...Along with Jim Mora's Playoffs rant....Herm Edwards' Play to Win the Game....Mike Gundy's I am a Man, I am 40...and....Juliet Capulet's fiery Where The Fvck Art Thou Romeo Get Your Skinny Lice Ridden *** Down Here Immediately...to be fair, I may be a little rusty on my Shakespeare....

Don't forget "They were who we thought they were"

Oh you missed one > Oh **** I posted this right after I read it, then went back and a half dozen other Dudes already mentioned it, but worth the watch, go half way in for the where it gets really good.

Much needed accountability
So we know
I'd love to hear more about Nesta being so good they bump him up to 1st team ahead of monsters like Bethel/Ford so he can **** talk Gaynor instead of hearing about him taunting this new kid from Butler who has very likely already played his last significant D1 down of football. That would be a lot more impressive.

Your a staff member that believes this is the case? Could it also be possible that TK said "Dude don't take it easy on me, I want your best everyday". So he can show the rest of the team he belongs. Kinda of of like a gang initiation. Or maybe even Nesta has been chosen to haze him like when you join a fraternity. I'm not saying it's any of theses things but their are tons of scenarios but people around here speak in absolutes.

I mean at C, yeah.

He cant block DTs. He might be able to block DEs, especially on the weak-side. We'll see I guess. There's a difference between having to block guys like Nesta and guys like Trevon Hill

Don't understand why he's playing C. He physique certainly seems more suited to playing T and we have a greater need at T.

I know it's only Spring and it may not be permanent. Maybe they're trying to toughen him up.

Jon ford coming into his own this spring is the best news so far! He can be a nightmare if he develops to his potential

Agreed, if he can keep this up through til Fall he’s going to be a starter at one of the DT spots. Bethel will most likely play the other one leaving Nesta to rotate which could kee our DT’s fresh for later on in games. I think Miller and one of the freshmen are going to eat some as well giving us a lot more at the position than people previously thought.

Yeah to start off, but then with things like the 7-7 and 11-11 towards the end of practice he bases that off the performances of the practices. So if JW starts practice as the 1st guy taking QB1 reps and then gets to the 7-7/11-11 and is taking QB1 reps first again, realistically he’s had a good practice and so your QB1 of the day.

Perry and Tate get rotated and get the same amount of reps with the ones but I’m basing it off who consistently has been the first QB to take those reps, and i believe it’s been JW for the majority

Media only stays for 50 minutes. We have no idea who’s getting the most reps at the end of practices

I didn't get a chance to see any of the receivers play in person, that were ranked above Payton. However, having seen Payton play multiple times throughout his high school career at Fletcher, I can confidently say that there is no way there were 9 receivers that were better than him last year, and it is impossible for 9 receivers to have been more dominant than he was during his senior year.

The kid was ranked 54th nationally, and was ranked the 10th best receiver in the country, and yet he was vastly underrated! He. Is. That. Good!!!
