PRACTISE #5

I'd love to hear more about Nesta being so good they bump him up to 1st team ahead of monsters like Bethel/Ford so he can **** talk Gaynor instead of hearing about him taunting this new kid from Butler who has very likely already played his last significant D1 down of football. That would be a lot more impressive.

Yeah they need to be mixing him in for sure, maybe at bethel spot

Would anyone happen to have a random reporter's tweet criticizing Tate's throwing from today?

We could really use 6 pages of posts bashing him based on grainy footage that appears to be filmed on a 2002 Nokia flip phone.

Especially since that footage was of a completion down the field over coverage. Give me the thirty yard completions with ducks all day. I’ve watched plenty of 3rd and ten check downs with pretty passes bring out the punting unit the past five years

Based off the limited videos and tweets we get and based off how Enos says he decides who gets the 1st reps.. I’d say that JW is currently winning the QB battle. From my knowledge he has taken majority 1st snaps and hasn’t had any any reporters talking crap about his accuracy. If he’s not constantly making mental mistakes that the reporters wouldn’t be able to tell and he’s not acting like an idiot off the field.. then i think he’s QB1 and slowly pulling away.

I think enos said they have all had the same amount of reps with the 1st team.

That’s good to hear. I wish he would have redshirted back in 2017. He needs to step up this year.

He went home during his Christmas break and realized that he could either be a bouncer at Café Iguana on Pines on Friday and Saturday nights after his UM career is over or he could be a 1st round pick with everyone comparing him to Daryl Gardner... Seems like so far through practice #5 we see which option he chose!

Jon ford coming into his own this spring is the best news so far! He can be a nightmare if he develops to his potential

100%

If Jon Ford takes a big step this year that should be a lesson to the reactionary bunch who are ready to write players off when they're not impact right when they hit the field.

The book on Ford as a prospect was that he had a huge frame and great athleticism for his frame, but was raw. He showed up late to Fall camp as a freshman and got his first real burn last year as a Sophomore. Didn't do much one way or the other, but was in the rotation. People seemed ready to write him off as a JAG. But, if we take a step back and realize that the exact big picture outlook on him as a prospect was that he was raw and would take some time to get coached up and get his frame developed right, then it should be no surprise that he could be looking like a real player in year 3.

It will be a huge development for us if Ford and Nesta each take big steps.

Yeah to start off, but then with things like the 7-7 and 11-11 towards the end of practice he bases that off the performances of the practices. So if JW starts practice as the 1st guy taking QB1 reps and then gets to the 7-7/11-11 and is taking QB1 reps first again, realistically he’s had a good practice and so your QB1 of the day.

Perry and Tate get rotated and get the same amount of reps with the ones but I’m basing it off who consistently has been the first QB to take those reps, and i believe it’s been JW for the majority

Iverson's Practice soliloquy is definitely in the Pantheon of all time meltdowns...Along with Jim Mora's Playoffs rant....Herm Edwards' Play to Win the Game....Mike Gundy's I am a Man, I am 40...and....Juliet Capulet's fiery Where The Fvck Art Thou Romeo Get Your Skinny Lice Ridden *** Down Here Immediately...to be fair, I may be a little rusty on my Shakespeare....

I remember that line from R+J.

+1.

Clever.

PS. Juliet was a ****** ho
