PractiSe # 12

You are wrong! The "s" is used with the verb, and the "c" with the noun. The noun is "practiCe". The verb is "practiSe" These are the facts!
The noun practice
As a noun, practice means a “habit or custom” (as in a religious practice).
It can also mean “repeated exercise to acquire a skill” (e.g., practice makes perfect), or “the pursuit of a profession” (e.g., she just retired from her medical practice).
This noun sense of practice is used by both British and American English.
The verb practice/practise
In American English, practice is also used as the verb. It means “to do something repeatedly in order to master it” or “to pursue as an occupation or art.” So a churchgoer can practice their religion, just as a student might practice the violin.
In British English, the verb form of the word is rendered as practise. So in the above examples, our churchgoer practises their religion, while our student practices their instrument. This convention is true of British, Canadian, and Australian English.
How can you lurk around here for 6 years, and still not get it?

Just heard Mannys interview and the thing that stood out to me when describing the qbs is when he mentioned the toughness of Tate that the team respects and the the different things they can do with him cause of his run and pass option.
Besides that describing all 3 qbs he said the same thing.

Nobody is saying that Bolden needs to look like Java the Hunt from Stars Wars, but he's going to have a heck of a time putting on weight practicing each day at Greentree. Seen a lot of people predicting that he'll be a starter soon and am curious if that's the popular opinion, or if most believe he'll struggle to crack the rotation.

If Bolden looked like Jabba the Hutt he'd be playing DT

Cause he was referring to Mexicans and clowning about drug cartels.
You were talking about a National tragedy and brought up Mexicans. He lightly did a play on the word Americans and used Mericans as he did with practiSe for practice. If you were upset because you thought he used Mexicans in light of the shootings you should've equally been upset with his use of Mericans for Americans since they were the Bulk of the casualties in both states. I'm done with this thread.

Got dammit who gives a fck how much Bolden weighs. Im sure we have had 10-15 safeties in the last 10 years over 200 pounds. Someone remind how many championships we won. If that motherfcker can play safety at 150 put him in. Every safety isnt built the same.

I was not referring to Mexicans or clowning any killings. I didn’t even know about the killings until after I started the thread. I don’t see much news lately except in here. And since @Luke Caneswalker upvoted it, I’m copying him on here too. It’s “Mericans” as in “Americans” and it has nothing to do with anyone killing anybody

JFC!

ITs not about if he can play or not. He is listed at 200 which most ppl can tell his isn't close to 200 pounds. If he can play of course play him but it may need to be in small doses or certain packages. Because weighing 175 pounds being in every down safety required especially in the Diaz system to be physical and tackle, it will be tough for somebody that light body to hold up over the course of a season. That's all.

Mericans is a phrase other countries use to disrespect America. It started with George W Bush. It isn’t directed at Mexicans

Do you goofballs think he caught the AIDS? How does a young, growing man go from 190 in HS to 200 at USC to 175?

Next thing you know, the carnival barking weight guessers on CIS will have Bolden outweighed by amoeba.

No I just don't think weight training was high on his priority list. that's all. Never said he couldn't play at that weight but he dang sure doesn't look 200+ pounds.

You’re guessing his weight from pictures which is dopey. They weighed him at camps in HS 3 years ago, and he was 190. Why the fck would he be 175 pounds now?

On a long 6’3 kid composed mainly of muscle, 200 pounds looks skinny.
