Practice Clips and Bits 10-22

Why not look at Jahfari Harvey at linebacker since he played in Highschool. Apparently Sam brooks who was a RUSH END In Highschool is not grasping the scheme and I’m speculating this because he didn’t get in last week.

Now they burn McCloud's redshirt? I sure hope it is because he wants to and not because the coaches are trying to save their jobs.
Burning McCloud’s shirt says a few things about the coaches.
1. They don’t have a strong sense of their personnel. They offered this opportunity to McCloud knowing we have no depth. A walk-on is “forced” to play over an LB we actually coveted.
2. They are purely reactionary. They are burning his shirt because they see how stupid a decision it was to play the walk-on. Why not do something less drastic like work Brooks into the starting lineup. Or tweak the defense a bit by adding an additional striker.
3. They either have shaky evaluations or are not preparing certain kids to be ready. How is Brooks not ready to play significant snaps at this point. To an extension, how are Williams and Couch not ready to tap out Ivey?

It's... just... hard to care anymore. What are we even playing for? Another $hitty bowl game?

Diaz said Brooks is backing up Quarterman. It's probably not as easy as putting out a true freshman at Pickney's spot when he hasn't practiced there. Much easier for an experienced player like McCloud to play either position. Maybe with a week of practice it'd be a different story.

the worst part is even if we manage to back into a random bowl by then youll have so many players checked out, well likely get blown out

why not slide shaq over and play brooks with shaq
that's the kind of moves I was hoping for
some sort of imagination to know the coaches have a clue

ftfy.

It's a team sport. They all get the grief.

Just curious, if the coaches can't instill it, how can the players adopt it? Just as to your "fixing it for me"...

If the players should be doing it REGARDLESS, what is the point of having college coaches since they should be doing it anyway?

And of course, I'm just being difficult for the fun of it...lol.

How many games has McCloud played in? Does he have 1 game left and can still redshirt?

That sack Williams took last week was awful. He had all day back there and three receivers open and still couldn't pull the trigger. **** throw it out of bounds at least. Just a feeling but I don't think Jerren ever gets his job back.

It was classic Jarren. Holds ball too long. Doesnt throw away. Slow as F. Gets Sacked.

Really bad look for him and showed me Perry is the guy still.

This is very strange to me. Admittedly, I don't know anything. But I coach my middle-schooler's 7on7 team and we never ever let kids stand around like that. 2 drills going at the same time, and they go from one to the other, with no more than 2-3 kids in a line, and the line doesn't last nearly that long. I don't understand what I'm seeing.
