Practice cancelled tommorow, camp over

The usual mope and dope aside, if they aren't on the field practicing, does this mean extra film time, time in position meetings etc.?

I'm ok with taking a few days off of contact drills but coaches only have so many hours per NCAA regs to spend with athletes per week. I would just be curious how they are spending the time they would otherwise be on Greentree.

I think you hit it right on the head. he probably had this planned the whole time depending on how he felt. give the guys some rest. watch film and get the mental part right. so they know what to focus on Sunday. Saturday is Canes Fest and little time to watch any film

I really have no idea why practice was cancelled or what the rationale is. Im not particularly thrilled about it, as we need all the practice we can get. BUT, on the defense issue. Our problems on Defense are deeper than just a practice issue IMO. There has been some kind of major disconnect on our defense for the last few years. One thing that I think has been a problem, is not having the right personnel for what AG and NoD continue to try to force us to run. Hopefully that has changed some, and we will finally be able to put a serviceable defense on the field. But at the end of the day, one extra practice was not going to solve our defense issues either way.

If our guys are still lost and we don't have the personnel, we are going to sh*t the bed on defense. If we have turned the corner, then we are going to improve a lot. One practice isn't going to be the difference here. We are either going to finally look the part, or we are going to collapse and look like dog sh*t again. Its going to be one extreme or the other IMO.

Right, it's not like we won the national championship last year and have a boatload of talent coming back

I know we all like to say we need thugs and what not but these are the kind of pictures that don't need to be posted or retweeted by canes fans. IMO these guys are not thugs but perception is important. Am I just getting old and over reacting?

OMG one day they don't practice!!! Let's act like a *****. The ****, some of you acting like they won't start back practicing til the day of the game.

It's not just one day, *****! We didn't practice Tuesday and we had 1/2 day yesterday along with nothing tomorrow....that's 1 1/2 days of practice this week. Learn how to count before u tell me how to act.

When was the last bowl win?
When was the last ACC championship?
When was the last BCS appearance?
What was our defense ranked the past couple years?

We need practice! Do not tell me "omg omg it's one day"

Remember the week when we only practiced 1 1/2 days because we mustve already been prepared and ready for Louisville? Thank God that we were prepared for yesterday. Coaches are really putting in the effort...it shows!
