Practice cancelled tommorow, camp over

Cancel several practice opportunities before playing a team that demolished us in the last game we played?

5 ringz by your criteria not one school in the country has had a good camp. No injuries seems to be your Guage lol. Show me one major school that doesn't have a single injury.
 
The usual mope and dope aside, if they aren't on the field practicing, does this mean extra film time, time in position meetings etc.?

I'm ok with taking a few days off of contact drills but coaches only have so many hours per NCAA regs to spend with athletes per week. I would just be curious how they are spending the time they would otherwise be on Greentree.

they spent all of December prepping as well. how'd that turn out? To have any faith in the defensive staff at this point just makes you ******* dumb.

So that's a starting QB, starting safety, starting LB, and a 2nd string LB gone.

Jenkins is the only one. Williams was hurt in the SPRING and is doing great so that can be seen as a positive for camp. The other two dimwits were kicked off team before camp even started for sexual assault which has nothing to do with football.

Looks like the depth chart has been set. No more pounding on each other to try and win a position because it has been competitive out there. Time to come together as a team, accept their roles and go into preparing for the first opponent of the season. Sounds like they are ready and confident in what we have before Denzel kills someone out there.

Well, BigBrows got it all figured out. We going 0-12. I guess we shouldnt even watch the games.
 
I think it's fine that Al thought he'd seen enough and wanted to rest the kids. However, I thought they were going to do a special teams scrimmage today which I always think is overlooked importance wise in football. It is sure going to be fun to see who ends up returning kicks and punts for us this year!

if there's something that annoys you, it should be the appalling lack of preparation by a defensive staff that's clearly lacking gray matter. keep drinking the kool aid.
 
I really have no idea why practice was cancelled or what the rationale is. Im not particularly thrilled about it, as we need all the practice we can get. BUT, on the defense issue. Our problems on Defense are deeper than just a practice issue IMO. There has been some kind of major disconnect on our defense for the last few years. One thing that I think has been a problem, is not having the right personnel for what AG and NoD continue to try to force us to run. Hopefully that has changed some, and we will finally be able to put a serviceable defense on the field. But at the end of the day, one extra practice was not going to solve our defense issues either way.

If our guys are still lost and we don't have the personnel, we are going to sh*t the bed on defense. If we have turned the corner, then we are going to improve a lot. One practice isn't going to be the difference here. We are either going to finally look the part, or we are going to collapse and look like dog sh*t again. Its going to be one extreme or the other IMO.
 
Terrible idea. What successful coach ever cut a practice for a team reward. Other than guys like Shula, JJ, Howard, etc.
