I realize it’s not going to be exciting for some people, especially those who enjoy explosive plays, but when I look at this matchup between our offense and Tony White’s 3-3-5 defense, Fletcher/Brown should be able to have a massive game running through the teeth of this Nole defense. If you’re going to run 3 down linemen you better have some absolute dudes that eat up space and wreak havoc, but right now instead it looks like Free Shoes has a bunch of JAGS. We should be able to physically impose our will in the trenches on both sides but I really like our O-Line vs. their D-Line. Obviously, you wanna take some shots downfield to keep them honest, but I could see us rushing for two-two fitty in this game. Is this how everyone else sees this game playing out?

These games rarely seem to go how most people expect, especially when strengths, weaknesses, and tendencies seem so obvious.

Guessing they’ll have better success defending the run than we expect. They’ll adjust for it, but we’ll still get ours. And Beck/WRs/TEs will do more damage than they did against ND and UF, probably more yards and passing TDs than you’d expect.

Just a hunch.

Sometimes, but sometimes they go as projected. Things that often travel well and stay fairly consistent: defense and dominant running game.

It has and will depend on what the defense gives Miami. It's a boring answer but Shannon has been pretty consistent with this.

No turnovers. The only way they can stay in this game is if the ball is gifted to them. Beck has thrown bad picks the last 2 games.. He needs to not make it 3 in a row.

Also, the o-line pre snap penalties have hurt us, even though we have been at home. This being the first road game, in what will be a sold out stadium, o-line will be at risk of committing multiple pre snap penalties. They need to be better pre snap.

I agree, I will add that if they play like they did against UVA and play 4 or 5 DBs back to prevent the big plays, then Beck needs to be patient and take what they give us. UVA QB tried to force it deep and those picks really kept FSU in the game. The middle of the field and the check downs will be there all game.

If they try to stop us with light boxes like that we'll have 400 yards rushing. I pray that is their approach.
