I wouldn't want to go into next season with Damari as our starting Safety when he's never played the position though, is my issue. I think he SHOULD probably be a safety too...idk man

Other than Downs and the other Safety that transferred from Ole Miss to OSU, has there ever been good quantity of good safety in the portal? Always a lot of CB's but never safeties. Gotta recruit a lot better there just like DT.

Ever? There’s been plenty. Or are you talking about the spring window? I don’t have a good enough memory to remember who entered in what window.

I meant like a handful of good ones theres always been like 2 to 3 really good ones but basically the same as DT theyre gonna cost a fortune and we're not spending like that.

From a quick glance
2025: just the purdue guy thielemen went to oregon
2024: Keon Sabb, Mukuba, Downs

2023 and 2022 I cant see any impact Safeties from those years

There's never much in the spring window you might get lucky and find maybe 2 impact players but it's never as much as people hype it up. Thats why we better lock up Pena cause who knows what id any impact WRs hit portal. We'll be lucky to find one rotational safety
